What You’ll Do:

The Corporate Development Accounting team supports finance and accounting related functions for the company’s inorganic growth opportunities. We are primarily responsible for the accounting and reporting of M&A transactions and strategic investments. The team partners closely with Corporate Development, Legal, Strategic Financing, and Operations Accounting teams. 

About the role: 

The Senior Manager of Corporate Development Accounting will lead the accounting and valuation of M&A transactions and strategic investments in support of CoreWeave’s inorganic growth. You will possess a diverse skillset to thrive in CoreWeave’s fast paced environment, combining outstanding technical accounting abilities, experience with complex valuation concepts, and strong business acumen. 

The successful candidate for this position will enjoy solving complex accounting issues and oversee the accounting analysis for Corporate Development related transactions, and work with 3rd party valuation specialists on purchase price allocations and valuation of privately held strategic investments. Further, the individual will support financial due diligence and M&A integration on an ad-hoc basis. 

  • Draft high quality accounting memos and analysis for topics such as ASC 810, ASC 323, ASC 321, and ASC 320 for the purposes of supporting management’s conclusions and obtaining concurrence from external auditors 
  • Monitor the financial performance of CoreWeave’s portfolio of strategic investments, including quarterly impairment analysis and identification of transactions that would necessitate fair value remeasurements
  • Lead the continuous assessment and identification of entities that require consolidation or equity method of accounting in situations when we obtain control, particularly under the variable interest entity model, or significant influence
  • With support from 3rd party valuation specialists, complete valuation exercises such as purchase price allocations and option pricing models for privately held investments, facilitating the compilation of significant inputs from CoreWeave stakeholders, and ensuring the accuracy of delivered reports
  • Be a strong partner to FP&A and communicate forward-looking impacts of any Corporate Development related transactions in a timely manner
  • Work with CoreWeave’s Corporate Accounting team to record journal entries such as those related to purchase price allocation and recognition or remeasurement of investments into the general ledger and the Financial Reporting team for appropriate disclosure in quarterly and annual SEC filings
  • Support various monthly internal presentations by creating materials and slide decks that are clear, concise, easy to understand
  • Participate in the execution of review controls, providing clear evidence of management’s review and ensuring significant inputs agree to supporting documentation as appropriate 

Who You Are: 

  • CPA with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant exposure to M&A transactions, business combinations, and complex investment accounting
  • Prior Big 4 audit or transaction advisory experience, or equivalent in-house M&A accounting role at a high-growth technology company
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with developed self-review processes to produce error-free work products
  • Proven ability to build financial processes and internal controls from scratch in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate valuation methodologies, and assess complex security structures
  • Executive-level communication skills with experience preparing board-level materials 
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and comfort working across Excel, accounting systems, and collaboration tools
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision

The base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $198,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets.
