About Nerdio

At Nerdio, our mission is to simplify the lives of IT professionals and maximize their Microsoft cloud and end user computing investments.

We support organizations of all sizes looking to deploy, manage, and cost-optimize native Microsoft technologies. We partner with Enterprises and Managed Service Providers all over the world to add value on top of their existing native Microsoft investments like Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, and Microsoft Intune.

Created in 2016, Nerdio has always taken a market-leading and collaborative approach to cloud deployment and management. In fact, our product roadmap is greatly influenced by the regular feedback we receive from having seen companies deploy AVD into production environments several thousand times using Nerdio technology.

Today, Nerdio is used in over 50 countries by more than 15,000 organizations of every size and vertical. We’re committed to delivering exceptional service and support, which starts with identifying and supporting the best staff possible.

We are a fast-moving, nimble company looking for individuals who are collaborative, empathetic, driven and who love to move at the speed of light. If you want to be part of the AVD transformation that Microsoft and Nerdio are leading, then we want to speak with you.

About the role

Nerdio is looking for a visionary Creative Director to lead and elevate our brand identity, visual storytelling, and creative output across all channels to ensure we stand out in the market in a consistently distinctive, relatable and memorable way. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines bold creative instincts with strategic business acumen and a passion for leveraging AI to expand brand expression and scale. You will own the visual and conceptual direction of Nerdio's brand, inspire a talented team of designers and content creators, and partner cross-functionally to ensure that every touchpoint — from our website and product marketing to events and social media — reflects a world-class, cohesive brand.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the creative identity of a high-growth SaaS company in the Microsoft ecosystem and leave a lasting mark on how IT professionals around the world experience Nerdio.

What you'll do

Brand Leadership

  • Own and evolve Nerdio's brand identity, visual language, voice, and design system across all digital and physical touchpoints.
  • Serve as the ultimate creative authority — setting the creative bar and ensuring consistency, quality, and impact in every deliverable.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Brand and Communications and executive leadership to translate business strategy into compelling creative vision.

Team & Agency Management

  • Lead, mentor, and grow an in-house creative team of designers.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and production vendors to scale creative output efficiently.
  • Foster a collaborative, feedback-rich culture that celebrates bold ideas and rapid iteration.

Creative Execution

  • Creative ideation and execution for high-impact campaigns spanning digital advertising, product marketing, event presence, video, social media, and partner co-marketing.
  • Oversee the design of website experiences, landing pages, and digital campaigns that drive awareness and conversion.
  • Lead creative concept development for Nerdio's flagship events, including NerdioCon, partner summits, and Microsoft-aligned initiatives.
  • Champion video and motion design as strategic storytelling tools for brand and product narratives.
  • Leverage AI tools to help us execute against our brand standards, drive consistent distinctiveness, and expand what is possible in our creative expression.
  • Develop templates that facilitate employees creating assets aligned with our brand standards.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Partner Marketing, and Sales to align creative with go-to-market priorities.
  • Work with Product and UX teams to ensure brand consistency extends into the product experience.
  • Present creative strategies and work to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive creative experience, with at least 5 years in a senior creative leadership role (Creative Director or equivalent) at a comparable organization.
  • Demonstrated success building, scaling, and evolving B2B technology brands — ideally in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise IT — with measurable business impact.
  • Proven ownership of significant creative budgets and agency/vendor spend, with a track record of maximizing ROI on creative investment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere) and Figma.
  • Portfolio demonstrating world-class integrated campaign work, brand systems, digital design, and video/motion — you have already done this job at this level.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing in-house creative teams, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Comfortable presenting and influencing at the VP and C-suite level, with the ability to connect creative strategy to business outcomes.
  • Proficiency with AI-powered creative tools and workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in or familiarity with the Microsoft partner ecosystem, cloud computing, or enterprise IT markets.
  • Experience with event design and experiential marketing at technology conferences or trade shows.
  • Proficiency in web design principles and working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Experience with video production end-to-end, from concept through post-production.
