About Gist
Gist is a new consumer social app built by AppLovin — a handbook for the curious. We're building our creative engine from the ground up, and we're looking for a Creative Strategist who lives at the intersection of storytelling and performance data.
In this role, you'll own the creative strategy behind our paid social advertising. You'll concept, brief, and iterate on ads that are genuinely enriching, while staying deeply connected to the metrics that determine what scales.
Central to this is your ability to identify, brief, and collaborate with top creators to produce authentic content that resonates at scale.
This is a hands-on seat. You're not handing briefs to an agency and reviewing decks. You're in the work.
About the Role
We are launching a new social platform dedicated to the relatable, actionable content that people use to navigate their daily lives.
We are looking for a Senior Creator Partnerships Manager to be the connective tissue between our platform and the macro and mega influencer talent that will define it.
This is a dealmaker role, we want someone who knows the influencer landscape cold, has relationships with talent management companies, and can negotiate custom agreements that make top creators want to build on a new platform.
You will own a budget, set recruitment strategy, and be the reason our best creators show up.
A Day in the Life

  • Recruit macro and mega/celebrity influencers across US lifestyle verticals to post on our platform and amplify their content elsewhere.
  • Develop and own creator partnership strategy — identifying the right talent mix, negotiating custom deals, and managing relationships with influencers and their management companies.
  • Own and optimize a creator recruitment budget, balancing deal value against platform growth and content quality goals.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of creator talent through your existing network and proactive outreach across agencies, management firms, and platforms.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to structure deals and ensure smooth creator onboarding and activation.
  • Track and report on creator performance, partnership ROI, and content impact to inform ongoing strategy.
The Impact You'll Make
  • Define the creator roster that shapes our platform's identity and drives daily active use from launch.
  • Establish Gist's credibility in the influencer ecosystem — becoming the go-to contact for talent looking to expand to new platforms.
  • Build scalable partnership frameworks and deal structures that can grow with the platform across markets.
  • Directly influence product direction with ground-level insight into what creators need to succeed on a feed-based platform.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience in influencer partnerships, creator talent, or influencer marketing — ideally at an agency that works with brands and manages or brokers relationships with large-scale talent.
  • Proven track record working with macro (500K–1M followers) and mega/celebrity (1M+) influencers across lifestyle, beauty, wellness, food, or adjacent verticals.
  • A strong existing Rolodex — relationships with talent managers, MCNs, and agency contacts that you can activate quickly.
  • Deep fluency in custom deal negotiation: you know market rates, deal structures, exclusivity windows, and how to get to yes without overpaying.
  • Comfortable working with a creator recruitment budget and being accountable for the ROI it generates.
  • Experience working with or inside a global organization while owning a domestic US remit.
  • Strong communicator who can represent Gist credibly in rooms with top-tier talent and their representatives.
Nice to Have
  • Existing relationships with influencers in the 500K–5M follower range who are open to emerging platform opportunities.
  • Experience at a platform (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, or similar) in a partnerships or creator growth capacity.
  • Familiarity with lifestyle feed content dynamics — what drives daily engagement, retention, and shareability.
Why Join This Venture
  • This is more than a partnerships role — it's a chance to define the creator ecosystem of a new global product inside an industry leader.
  • Enjoy the autonomy and deal-making latitude of a startup, backed by AppLovin's resources, technology, and scale.
  • Work with a lean, fast-moving team that values relationships, speed, and creative thinking.
  • High visibility into how creator strategy drives product growth — with a direct line to leadership from day one.
