Title: CRO Supplier Manager
Location: Remote - Headquarters located in Burlington, MA
Job Type: Remote
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Reports to: SVP of Supplier Solutions
Department: Product
Compensation: Base salary range: $125,000 + Incentive Bonus (OTE $190,000)
(This role is compensated as base salary plus a company discretionary bonus. The bonus is determined by company performance and is not guaranteed.)

Responsibilities:

The CRO Supplier Manager owns Prendio BioProcure's contracted CRO and CDMO partnerships day to day, taking the handoff at contract execution and driving them from signature through long-term success. This role engages partner commercial teams, maps accounts between supplier partners and the emerging biotechs on our platform, and acts as a trusted advisor to customers — advocating for the right supplier partner. The supplier portfolio spans the full outsourced R&D landscape, from discovery and preclinical services through clinical execution and manufacturing. Success in this role is defined by partner growth, customer connections, and the credibility this role builds for our CRO/CDMO offering in the market.

Key Functions:

  • Own day-to-day relationships with contracted CRO and CDMO supplier partners across discovery, preclinical, clinical, and manufacturing service categories
  • Take the handoff at contract execution; drive partner onboarding through early wins to sustained, long-term performance
  • Serve as a credible, trusted advisor to emerging-biotech customers; position partners as the right fit for the work without selling
  • Build the credibility of Prendio BioProcure's CRO/CDMO offering in the market
  • Map accounts between supplier partners and the biotech customer base; identify and drive connections between them
  • Generate and deliver partner reporting; track adoption, connections, and partner-growth KPIs
  • Articulate emerging-biotech pain points to the Product and Data teams; help shape on-platform tools and data offerings that bridge biotech needs and supplier capabilities
  • Work closely with Supplier Solutions, Customer Success, and Product
  • Escalate commercial negotiations — pricing, rebates, and new partnerships — to the SVP of Supplier Solutions, who owns deal-making and executive supplier relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in life sciences with hands-on ownership of outsourced R&D spend across multiple service categories
  • Demonstrated breadth across discovery and preclinical services — for example DMPK, toxicology, bioanalysis, in vivo pharmacology, translational sciences, or medicinal chemistry — with exposure to clinical-stage outsourcing as well
  • Hands-on experience selecting, contracting with, and managing CROs and/or CDMOs; deep familiarity with the players, capabilities, and value-adds across the space
  • Experience at emerging biotech (venture-stage) companies strongly preferred; sponsor-side operating experience is what matters most
  • Scientific literacy sufficient to hold a credible technical conversation with customer teams and partner scientists; a formal scientific background or bench chapter is a strong plus
  • Understands the realities of emerging biotech: burn rate, milestone achievement, speed, and the cost of choosing the wrong supplier
  • Strong communication and networking skills; able to advocate credibly without coming across as selling
  • Commercial experience on the CRO/CDMO side is valuable in combination with sponsor-side operating experience

Note: we can teach the business and sales side. What you bring is breadth across the outsourced R&D landscape and the judgment that comes from having managed it.
