In this role, you will:
- Own and lead complex, high-impact analytics initiatives to deliver data-driven insights on customer behavior and financial health, proactively managing risks and dependencies
- Source, assemble, analyze, and interpret large-scale transaction data; build reusable data assets (e.g., data cubes) and repeatable analytic workflows to drive scalability and reuse
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to complex business questions, synthesizing insights across multiple data sources
- Develop executive-ready deliverables, including presentations, dashboards, and written materials with clear, actionable insights
- Influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, effectively communicating findings and driving alignment across lines of business
- Drive innovation in analytics by piloting AI-enabled tools and automation to uncover patterns and insights beyond the limits of traditional methods
- Mentor and develop less experienced team members, fostering analytical rigor, delivery excellence, and continuous skill growth
- 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 7+ years of SQL or SAS experience
- Financial services experience with a strong understanding of industry dynamics and macroeconomic trends; additional experience in commercial and investment banking is preferred
- Master's or advanced degree in data science, statistics, economics, or a similar quantitative field
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx or similar analytical programming languages, dashboarding tools, and enterprise data platforms, with a strong attention to detail and data quality; working knowledge of Wells Fargo data and platforms is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience retrieving, assembling, analyzing, and interpreting data from large transaction databases; experience building reusable data cubes, repeatable analytic workflows, and innovative analytical solutions and capabilities is preferred.
- Proven ability to synthesize disparate datasets from internal and external sources, perform customer, market, and industry analyses, and draw sound insights and recommendations.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to develop compelling content; experience with Think-Cell is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and tight deadlines while operating effectively both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments.
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with demonstrated success partnering across business and technical teams and communicating clearly and effectively at all organizational levels.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
