Position Overview

As an Onboarding Specialist focused on GCPay, your construction experience, industry knowledge, and strong software expertise will help customers successfully implement and adopt GCPay within their organizations. You will analyze existing invoicing, compliance, and payment workflows and guide customers in transforming these processes using GCPay.

Working with key stakeholders—including project accountants, project managers, and controllers—you will help define new workflows, configure the platform, deliver training, and support customers through the onboarding process to ensure long-term success and adoption.

You will play a critical role in helping customers scale standardized pay application and compliance processes across their portfolio. You will also collaborate closely with internal product and account teams, sharing feedback from real-world implementations and staying aligned with product enhancements and roadmap updates.

You will report to a manager on the Onboarding team. This is a remote position with occasional travel based on internal events and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding engagements for GCPay customers, including implementation planning, configuration, and training

  • Analyze customer workflows related to subcontractor invoicing, lien waivers, compliance tracking, and payment processes, and recommend best practices using GCPay

  • Configure customer environments including billing structures, approval workflows, compliance requirements, and user permissions

  • Guide customers through onboarding milestones, ensuring timely and successful go-live

  • Deliver role-based training for project accountants, project managers, subcontractors, and executives

  • Support customers in transitioning from manual or legacy systems to standardized digital workflows

  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping customers improve efficiency, reduce risk, and increase visibility into financial processes

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience

  • Stay current on GCPay functionality, enhancements, and construction industry best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the construction or AEC industry, with exposure to accounting, project management, or subcontractor billing processes

  • Experience with subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, and compliance tracking

  • General understanding of SaaS platforms and software implementation or onboarding processes

  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

  • Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and priorities simultaneously

  • Experience with construction financial or project management systems (e.g., ERP systems like Sage, CMiC, Viewpoint, etc.)

The Ideal Candidate

  • You have experience in construction accounting, project accounting, or project management, particularly with subcontractor billing and compliance workflows

  • You are passionate about helping customers improve processes through technology and digital transformation

  • You can break down complex workflows into simple, actionable steps for a variety of audiences

  • You are comfortable leading meetings, trainings, and presentations in both virtual and in-person environments

  • You are highly organized and can manage multiple implementations at different stages simultaneously

  • You are proactive, solution-oriented, and able to troubleshoot customer challenges effectively

  • You collaborate well across teams and build strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders

  • You are curious and motivated to continuously learn, improve, and stay current on industry trends and evolving workflows
