Customer Facing Program Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Program Manager to manage and deliver complex programs for one of our top strategic customers.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical project/program management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.  The Program Manager is accountable for end-to-end program delivery and overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support offer development and pre-contract planning to identify the delivery approach and potential risks to the contract deliverables.
  • Develop and execute project/program plans, objectives, and timelines to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Maintain detailed project/program documentation, status reports, action registers, and lessons learned.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, setting expectations and coordinating resources and activities in support of program deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers, both internal and external, building strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely delivery of the overall program goals and objectives, conduct program reviews and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product management, technical teams, finance and supply chain, to ensure alignment regarding deliverables and expectations.
     
Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing complex, multi-year technology projects, preferably in the telecommunications and/or data center industries.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to all levels of working level peers and to upper-level management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate program and financial risks.

Nice to Have:

  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with change management processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with Nokia's PM@Nokia methodology and Mode of Operation (MoO).
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting and budget management in projects/programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs/tools.
