About the Role
Intellipro is hiring a Customer Quality Engineer for a global analog and power management semiconductor company. This is a customer-interface role spanning quality, technical, project, and customer-facing work: internally you are the hub for customer requirements, and externally you represent the company's quality function to key datacenter, automotive, and commercial customers.
Responsibilities
- Customer quality event closure: receive customer quality deviations, returns, and failed samples; own 8D reports and corrective action plans; coordinate FA/DOE/reliability testing; drive root cause identification, containment, and CAPA implementation; and submit formal corrective evidence to customers. For customer complaints and batch quality anomalies, recommend Lot Hold, shipment stops, and priority allocation of FA resources.
- Quality performance and tracking: maintain the customer quality action tracker; monitor complaint PPM, issue closure cycle time, and customer quality scorecards; identify systemic quality risks and escalate to leadership.
- Cross-functional improvement: feed customer-side quality pain points back to R&D, Process, Wafer, and Test teams; drive DFMEA/PFMEA updates, tighter test specifications, and improved monitoring; address recurring failures with systemic CAPA rather than one-off fixes.
- Meetings and communication: organize and attend monthly customer quality reviews; prepare reporting materials; align action items and committed delivery dates (ECD); communicate risks and delays. Manage written outputs to customers so all responses are traceable.
- Returns and sample management: coordinate receipt and internal routing of customer-returned failed samples; secure FA, TEM/FIB analysis resources; archive complete failure reports and test data as customer evidence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics/Semiconductor, Microelectronics, Materials, or a related engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor customer quality; power IC industry background preferred.
- Knowledge of IC manufacturing, CP/FT testing, and reliability testing (HTOL/ORT, Latch-up).
- Hands-on experience with quality tools: 8D, 5Why, Fishbone, FMEA, CAPA; familiarity with IQC, shipment gate, and Lot Hold control processes.
- Deep understanding of reliability concepts, physics of failure, test methodologies, and applicable IC industry standards; proficiency in Design for Reliability (DfR) and FMEA methods, with experience in reliability modeling, assessment, and prediction.
- Fundamental FA literacy: able to read FA, DOE, and reliability data, spot gaps in reports, and request supplementary evidence internally.
- Strong cross-functional influence: able to drive R&D/Process teams to deliver action items on time, detect delay risks, and escalate.
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking): able to independently review customers' English quality documentation, write 8D/GWP corrective reports, and attend customer meetings in English (required for global key accounts). Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is preferred.
Compensation
Base salary: USD 160,000-210,000 per year (open to talk).
