This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Shift schedules will rotate between hours 7:50 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. EST and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. Occasional overtime may be required to meet business demands, and employees may also be scheduled to work on certain holidays. Additionally, employees have the option to complete overtime hours on weekends if desired.
We offer 2 - 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, Monday - Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming phone calls from customers and identify the type of assistance the customer needs (i.e. benefit and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment and explanation of benefits (EOBs)
  • Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues
  • Educate and redirect the callers to the correct prompts on the line
  • Work various reports while on the phone line
  • Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of: efficiency, accuracy, quality, member satisfaction and attendance

Required Qualification:
  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent working experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of customer service experience in an office setting, call center setting or phone support role
  • Experience with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (managing workbooks, entering and manipulating data in existing reports)

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
