Our client is a fast-growing artificial intelligence company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Leads the commercial side of obtaining third-party data, shaping the sourcing approach and deal terms and guiding the most demanding agreements to completion while managing a team of associates. The role also carries budget oversight and executive reporting, and works closely with operations, research, legal and engineering colleagues.

What you'll do

- Define the commercial approach for obtaining third-party data, deciding which sectors and partners to pursue first.

- Build a repeatable way to identify and contact the organizations most likely to license valuable data.

- Personally guide the biggest and most intricate data purchase contracts from first draft to execution.

- Determine opening offers, deal structures and the limits beyond which talks end, where comparable prices are scarce.

- Manage a growing set of supplier relationships, covering price, licence terms, renewals and expansions.

- Work with engineering, operations, legal and research so purchased data is technically sound and compliant.

- Make sure every acquisition follows legal, copyright, privacy and data-governance requirements.

- Oversee spending plans, deal flow projections and returns, and brief senior leadership regularly.

- Recruit, coach and lead a group of associates who identify deal opportunities, fostering urgency and ownership.

- Support broader company work in building, analysis, coordination and execution as the company scales.
