About Zipline
Do you want to change the world? Zipline is on a mission to transform the way goods move. Our aim is to solve the world’s most urgent and complex access challenges by building, manufacturing and operating the first instant delivery and logistics system that serves all humans equally, wherever they are. From powering Rwanda’s national blood delivery network and Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, to providing on-demand home delivery for Walmart, to enabling healthcare providers to bring care directly to U.S. homes, we are transforming the way things move for businesses, governments and consumers. The technology is complex but the idea is simple: a teleportation service that delivers what you need, when you need it. Using robotics and autonomy, we are decarbonizing delivery, decreasing road congestion, and reducing fossil fuel consumption and air pollution, while providing equitable access to billions of people and building a more resilient global supply chain.

Join Zipline and help us to make good on our promise to build an equitable and more resilient global supply chain for billions of people.
About You and The Role

Zipline is on a mission to transform how goods move by making autonomous drone delivery the fastest, most reliable, and most delightful logistics system in the world. To deliver on that promise, we need to turn our massive data streams into clear, actionable insights for our partners and our business.

We are looking for a Data Analyst who will build the definitive source of truth for our commercial teams. You aren’t just someone who "pulls data"—you are a storyteller and a systems-builder. You’ll be the go-to person for our Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams, ensuring they have the reporting and dashboards they need to move the business forward.

We’re looking for someone who has a keen business sense and understands how metrics drive the business. The ideal candidate is a SQL expert who is obsessed with efficiency. You should be the person who sees a manual reporting process and immediately thinks of how to automate it or leverage new AI tools to surface insights faster.

What You'll Do
  • Insights & Dashboards: Design and maintain high-impact reporting for our partners and internal stakeholders. You will lead the creation of intuitive dashboards in ThoughtSpot and Mode that make data accessible and actionable.
  • Automation & AI Adoption: You will proactively identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and adopt new AI-driven tools to make surfacing data, trends, and business insights easier and faster.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Customer Success (supporting our partners), Marketing, Finance, Product & Data teams to define KPIs and build the visibility needed to track them.
  • Data Integrity: Act as the guardian of commercial data. You’ll write clean, performant SQL and ensure that every report we share—both internally and with customers—is accurate and trustworthy.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven Track Record. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
  • Business Acumen: You understand how data impacts the bottom line. You can talk ROI with Finance, attribution with Marketing, and performance metrics with Customer Success.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in SQL. You are comfortable navigating complex databases and can translate business questions into precise queries.
  • BI Tool Expertise: Experience with ThoughtSpot and Mode is highly preferred. You have a talent for data visualization and know how to design self-service tools for non-technical users.
  • Efficiency Mindset: A track record of automating manual workflows. You stay ahead of the curve with AI tools and techniques that speed up data analysis and reporting.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to simplify the complex. You can explain technical findings to a non-technical audience in a way that is clear and compelling.
  • Proactivity: You don’t wait for a ticket to be assigned. You see a gap in our insights and you build the solution to fill it.
Why This Team?
  • High Visibility: You will be the analytical engine for four major departments, giving you a front-row seat to how Zipline grows and operates.
  • Build the Future: We aren’t interested in doing things the "old way." You’ll have the freedom to experiment with AI and automation to redefine what "analytics" looks like here.
  • Mission-Critical Work: Your reporting will be the primary way our partners see the value of drone delivery, directly influencing our ability to scale and improve lives
  • Autonomy & Speed: We value rigor, but we also value speed. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where your work is deployed and used by decision-makers daily.
