Position Summary
We are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer with hands-on semiconductor test development experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between test engineering, diagnostics, and data science, leveraging their semiconductor testing background to extract actionable insights from complex test data to optimize test processes, develop diagnostic tools/tests, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Insights
- Analyze large-scale semiconductor test data from ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) systems
- Develop predictive models for yield prediction, failure analysis, and reducing quality excursions
- Create dashboards and visualization tools for quality monitoring
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in production test data to improve product reliability
Failure Investigation and Debug
- Analyze logs, test results, and system behavior to identify root cause or failure scope
- Reproduce issues in the lab environment and provide detailed debug information
- Work with hardware, firmware, and ASIC teams to drive resolution
Technical Development
- Create machine learning models for defect classification and outlier detection
- Automate reporting and data quality monitoring systems
- Use AI methodologies to enable advanced diagnostics of Astera silicon products
- Develop diagnostic tools and methods to enable faster root cause analysis and automation
Customer Focus
- Provide customer support on device-related inquiries
- Generate reports relating to internal and external customer requests
- Work with customer quality group to support internal and external customers
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with test, product, and reliability engineering teams
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Document analytical methodologies and maintain code repositories
- Mentor junior team members on analytics best practices
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
- Master's degree preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering or test development
- 3+ years of hands-on data analytics experience
- Knowledge of ATE platforms (Teradyne, Advantest, Credence, etc.)
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and test methodologies
Technical Skills
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis
- Data Tools: SQL, pandas, numpy, scikit-learn
- Visualization: Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, plotly, or similar tools
- Test Systems: Experience with test data formats (STDF), test executive software
The base salary range is $160,000 USD - $195,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
