As a Data Conversion Programmer, you will perform data conversions from legacy ERP systems into the Eclipse ERP system, helping customers move critical business data confidently through implementation and go-live events. You will be responsible for delivering key components of the end-to-end data conversion process—planning, mapping, transforming, validating, and stabilizing—while partnering closely with customers and Epicor project teams.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Lead, monitor, and communicate progress of all data conversion activities—including customer tasks, timelines, and readiness—through go-live events
  • Perform electronic data conversions from legacy ERP systems into Eclipse, guiding customers on data extraction, mapping decisions, and transformation needs
  • Design and implement migration and transformation strategies, using existing conversion tools while helping develop, revise, and refine new tools and methodologies
  • Map source-to-destination data (including legacy field-to-new schema mapping), document transformation rules, and support data modeling and normalization considerations as needed
  • Create and modify custom PICK subroutines and programs, analyze multi-valued database structures/schemas/business logic, and troubleshoot import errors, anomalies, and performance issues during migration
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency post-migration, and support testing, validation, and post-go-live stabilization to help ensure smooth cutover
What You Will Likely Bring:
  • Strong technical background in Pick/Universe programming and/or Epicor Eclipse, plus experience with modernization or legacy system transformation initiatives.
  • Strong experience working with multi-valued databases, including the ability to interpret legacy business logic embedded in database structures.
  • 5+ years in technical consulting, software engineering, programming, data conversion, or a similar profession.
  • 2+ years of applicable distribution industry experience and/or demonstrated success/knowledge.
  • High school diploma required with a bachelor’s preferred (or equivalent experience), plus willingness for occasional travel and occasional evening/weekend work when needed.
What Could Set You Apart:
  • Proficiency in data migration, ETL processes, and source-to-target data mapping, with working knowledge of data modeling and normalization concepts
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills to resolve data integrity, import, and performance issues effectively
  • Clear documentation and communication skills (including virtual collaboration), with a customer-centric, results-oriented, self-starter mindset and comfort working independently
  • Project execution strength—work planning, prioritization, resource awareness, time/effort estimation, and the ability to meet utilization targets and deliverables on time
