Who are we?

IEQ Capital is a Registered Investment Advisor seeking to transform traditional wealth management. Our quest is to integrate the Intellectual and Emotional Quotient, generating exceptional investment results driven by a values-oriented culture that fosters connection and collaboration with our clients. We are an independent, predominantly employee-owned company, adhering to the fiduciary standard to put our clients' interests first. We focus our efforts on helping clients meet their investment objectives without the distractions and limitations that can arise within much larger organizations.

Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to support investment data quality, controls, and analytics across both alternative and liquid asset classes. This role sits atop a centralized investment data platform and is responsible for developing scalable validation frameworks, identifying anomalies, and building monitoring tools that ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for portfolio oversight, client reporting, and investment decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines investment knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with experience working with large datasets and building scalable quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain data quality frameworks across multi-asset investment data, including positions, cash flows, valuations, and performance
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve outliers, anomalies, and data breaks while distinguishing true market activity from data integrity issues
  • Develop automated validation checks, thresholds, and exception workflows to monitor consistency across pricing, performance, and cash activity
  • Partner with operations, technology, and data engineering teams to trace root causes and implement scalable solutions for recurring issues
  • Build dashboards and monitoring tools that provide visibility into data quality metrics, exceptions, and completeness gaps
  • Validate key investment metrics, including IRR, MOIC, TVPI, and time-weighted returns, ensuring alignment between source data and reporting outputs
  • Analyze portfolio and investment data to identify inconsistencies, trends, and risks impacting reporting accuracy and investment analysis
  • Contribute to data governance and scalable architecture efforts, including documentation of business rules, assumptions, and best practices
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in investment analytics, investment operations, data management, or a related analytical role
  • Understanding of alternative investments (private equity, venture capital, hedge funds) and liquid securities (equities and fixed income)
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience performing reconciliations, identifying data discrepancies, and resolving data quality issues
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with centralized data platforms
  • Familiarity with Addepar or similar investment reporting platforms
  • Strong intellectual curiosity with a willingness to learn, adapt, and leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve workflows, analytics, and decision-making
Compensation

The total compensation range for this role, inclusive of base salary and bonus, is $140,000 - $180,000, depending on skills and experience.
