GoFundMe is the world’s most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.

Join the GoFundMe team shaping the future of how we understand and empower people through data and intelligent automation. As a People Analytics Data Scientist Intern, you’ll explore the intersection of AI, analytics, and workforce experience, building data-driven systems that transform the way employees engage, grow, and thrive. Inspired by the new wave of agentic analytics, this role blends data science, automation, and innovation to make people insights faster, smarter, and more actionable - helping drive positive change across our global organization.

You’ll contribute to pilot programs modernizing our People Analytics workflows - leveraging AI models, automation tools, and emerging technologies to enhance decision-making and deliver predictive, real-time insights into engagement, retention, and culture optimization.

This opportunity is open to Master's students entering their final year of study. This 10 week internship runs from May 27th, 2026 to August 7th, 2026 and is based in San Francisco, CA with Interns expected onsite three days per week.

  • Generative AI Exploration: Experiment with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude) to automate report generation, summarize insights, and create executive-ready narratives.
  • Process Documentation: Develop “how-to” documentation and reusable scripts that streamline future analysis and automation initiatives.

  • Exposure to or curiosity about AI tools for analysis, automation, and communication (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with attention to data quality.
