The Opportunity
As a Deals - Financial Due Diligence Intern, you will engage in assessing the financial health and risks of potential investments or transactions, providing valuable insights for decision-making. Within our Advisory practice, you will be part of a team that supports clients across the full transaction lifecycle, including deal strategy, diligence, execution, and post-deal value creation. As an Intern, you will support teams and participate in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments, contributing to the team's success.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, each presenting unique challenges and scope. Responsibilities
- Supporting teams in conducting financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions
- Participating in the analysis of financial statements to assess the financial health of potential investments
- Assisting in the preparation of financial models to evaluate business valuations and investment opportunities
- Engaging in the review of business performance metrics to provide insights for strategic decision-making
- Contributing to the development of financial forecasts to aid in corporate finance planning
- Collaborating with team members to analyze earnings quality and working capital requirements
- Observing and learning from experienced professionals in the field of financial due diligence
- Applying financial statement analysis techniques to identify potential risks and opportunities in transactions
- Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations for client engagements
- Gaining exposure to PwC's methodologies and practices in the advisory sector
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
- Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Accounting & Technology, Management Information Systems & Accounting, Accounting and Business
- Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3
- Preferred major GPA: 3.3
- Leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working and deliver distinctive outcomes
- Demonstrating knowledge in financial due diligence and business valuations
- Utilizing financial modeling and forecasting skills in client support
- Engaging in mergers and acquisitions with a focus on earnings quality
- Applying teamwork and communication skills in a dynamic advisory environment
The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
