TL;DR - Who You Are + What You’ll Do

You’re owning one of the most critical functions in the company: the deployments that activate 6–7 figure revenue, unlock ROI for hospital executives, and determine whether our product becomes the operating system for an entire health system.

You’ll be embedded on-site with leaders across nursing, operations, finance, and IT, mapping their most complex workflows, driving organizational change, and architecting rollouts that transform how hospitals run. You’ll build the playbook for how Vitalize scales from 20 to 200+ hospitals — and your insights will directly shape our product and company strategy.

This is a role for a top 1% operator who wants to build a category-defining enterprise motion from scratch.

The Company

Hospitals still run their most important operations — staffing, labor planning, and capacity — on paper, spreadsheets, and guesswork. It’s a system that wastes thousands of hours and millions of dollars every year.

Vitalize replaces this with intelligent, automated staffing operations. Our platform brings real-time decision support to clinical leaders, eliminating manual work, reducing unnecessary labor spend, and unlocking patient capacity for hospitals.

Labor drives ~60% of hospital costs, and our research shows more than 20% of that spend is preventable. By proactively aligning labor supply with patient demand, Vitalize helps health systems operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

We’re building the core operating system for hospital workforce operations — competing directly with legacy HR/ERP platforms. And we’re winning. We’re already live across 20+ hospitals, near 8-figures in revenue, and have raised funding from top investors. We’ve 3X revenue in the last 3 months, and are scaling fast.

The Role

You're not here to “implement software.” You're here to transform how hospitals run.

You own the entire journey between contract signing and full adoption. You’ll be on-site constantly with CNOs, nursing directors, IT, ops leaders, and frontline staff — mapping workflows, aligning stakeholders, driving change, and ensuring Vitalize becomes mission-critical. You are our customer's first true interface with the company, and the single biggest driver of revenue activation and ROI.

We believe deployments can be a key differentiator. We charge mid–six figures just for deployment because hospitals rely on this process to unlock millions in savings. You’ll be the person designing, executing, and improving that engine.

Your mandate is threefold:

  1. Build the deployment playbook for 200+ hospitals.

We don't have a mature playbook yet — you’ll architect it. Discovery, training, rollout sequencing, change management, risk escalation. You’re not afraid to drive a deployment yourself, and translate learnings into a repeatable system that scales.

  2. Make ROI real for executives.

Your job is to show hospital leaders how Vitalize directly impacts their world — unlocking millions in labor savings, giving clinical leaders time back, reducing staffing chaos, and helping hospitals recover patient capacity. You run deep discovery, understand every nuance of their staffing model, and align the C-suite on what success looks like.

You lay the foundation for ROI from day one. The quality of your deployment determines whether the hospital sees the operational and financial transformation they were promised — and you’re the one who gives executives confidence that it will happen.

  3. Be the bridge customers and product

You’ll see the truth on the ground: workflow gaps, adoption friction, and patterns across large systems. You’ll bring that signal straight to engineering and design — shaping what we build and why.

Select Deployment Strategists may be given responsibility of joining internal, cross-functional “Palantir-style” teams solving complex operational and product problems.

Operationally, You Will:

  • Lead multi-stakeholder rollouts across 5–20 hospital sites

  • Run training for thousands of clinicians

  • Troubleshoot workflows and drive adoption

  • Align nursing, operations, IT, finance, and PMO

  • Own escalations and remove blockers fast

  • Partner daily with engineering on roadmap-impacting insights

What We're Looking For
  • Relentless operator. You run toward ambiguity, not away from it. You move fast, solve problems independently, and adapt without losing sight of outcomes. You ship, learn, iterate.

  • World-class communicator. You can brief a CNO, align an IT director, and coach frontline nurses — sometimes in the same afternoon. You translate complexity into clarity and build trust at every level of a multi-stakeholder enterprise.

  • Insatiably curious. You don’t accept surface-level answers. You dig until you understand how the hospital actually works — the politics, the workflows, the incentives, the hidden constraints. You uncover the real problem, not the loudest one.

  • Structured but flexible. You build systems, not rigidity. You bring order to chaotic environments, create processes that scale, and know when to bend them to reality.

  • Customer-obsessed to the core. You want to be on-site. You want to see the workflows. You remember details because you care. Your energy comes from being close to the problems and driving change with the people who feel it.

  • Technically fluent (preferred, not required). You don’t need to code, but you should be comfortable navigating integrations, understanding the basics of feasibility, and communicating clearly with engineering about how real-world workflows translate into product.

Growth Trajectory

As we scale from 20 to 200+ hospitals, you’ll become a key leader in shaping Vitalize’s deployment motion. You’ll build and manage a team of Deployment Strategists, lead our most complex and highest-stakes enterprise rollouts, and set the standard for how Vitalize lands successfully at large health systems.

As we launch new product lines and expand within existing customers, you’ll own the deployment strategy for upsells, expansions, and multi-product rollouts — the moments that unlock multi-million-dollar ARR and long-term customer success.

You’ll define how Vitalize deploys at scale — and directly influence the company’s ability to grow.

Location

San Francisco HQ (in-person) or hybrid.

~50% travel to customer sites because you want to. If you're remote, you're in-person more often.

Benefits:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401k and 401k match

  • Flexible PTO

  • Bi-annual company retreats

  • Free Lunch and Dinner in-office

  • Relocation Bonus ($5000)

  • Reimbursement for desk setup, gym subscription, and commute
