Job Description

The Project Manager, Design is responsible for the direction and performance of consulting or design services for assigned project(s) of a nature greater in scope, ensuring work is performed in conformance with project objectives and requirements, project performance metrics, and quality requirements. The Project Manager, Design will be capable of leading consulting studies and the design of capital projects up to $75-million in total cost.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully deliver consulting studies and design projects, including accountability for all aspects of project performance and staffing
  • Client relationship management, including creating a positive experience that will lead to future work
  • Create a remarkable experience for project team members and external partners
  • Follow policies and procedures for project control and reporting, subcontract management, change management, and quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum of seven years of successful Project Management experience

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented individual capable of leading and managing others
  • Foundational understanding of core design disciplines, project management fundamentals, and project execution and delivery
  • Demonstrated success acting as an Assistant Project Manager and/or managing one’s own discipline or area of expertise in a “lead” role
  • Ability to lead projects that incorporate multiple disciplines
  • Ability to make independent decisions when a moderate degree of interpretation, judgement and discretion is required
