About the job

Be the IT anchor for Graphcore’s Taipei office, supporting the people building next-generation AI computer.

As Desktop & Engineering Support Engineer, you will be the main IT contact for our Taipei team. You will support Windows, macOS and Linux systems across daily desktop needs and engineering workflows.

Your work will help engineers stay focused, unblocked and productive. You will solve issues across devices, networks, applications and specialist tools that underpin development.

You will own hands-on support, user access, endpoint health, software setup and on-site infrastructure. You will also work with global IT and vendors when issues need broader resolution.

This role suits someone who likes variety, responsibility and practical problem solving. You will see the impact of your work every day.

The team and culture

You will join a multidisciplinary team with deep technical strengths and a strong knowledge-sharing culture. Work happens through direct support, clear documentation and close partnership with engineering teams.

You will be trusted to take ownership, act quickly and speak up when something can be improved. Decisions are made close to the problem, with input from the people doing the work.

This is a role with real breadth. You will support office infrastructure, engineering toolchains and remote teams that rely on you as smart hands on site.

What we're looking for

  • Strong hands-on support across Windows 11, macOS and Linux desktops and laptops.
  • Confident troubleshooting across hardware, peripherals, networks, VPNs, Microsoft 365, Zoom and Slack.
  • Experience managing users, permissions, passwords and basic Active Directory or group policy tasks.
  • Security awareness across antivirus, encryption, multi-factor authentication and endpoint compliance.
  • Ability to partner with engineering teams on development tools, workflows, documentation and issue resolution.
  • Willingness to travel between the office and third-party factory locations for on-site infrastructure support.

While we have outlined a set of requirements, we value transferable skills and diverse experiences. We also welcome engineers returning to the profession after a career break, including through returnship routes.

Benefits

· Flexible working: Balance your work and personal life with greater flexibility
· Generous annual leave: Take time to rest, recharge and enjoy life outside of work
· Enhanced healthcare coverage: Private medical insurance alongside Taiwan's National Health Insurance scheme for added peace of mind

· Proactive wellbeing support: An annual health assessment allowance to help you stay on top of your health
