Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apply expert knowledge across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, debugging, release, and sustainment.

  • Design and maintain automation for infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, operational support tasks, and integration workflows.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of program delivery and operational sustainment.

What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision and follow through on assigned engineering work.

  • Practical automation experience with the judgment to build supportable, maintainable solutions.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort working through incomplete requirements or logs.

  • Ability to communicate technical decisions, risks, and status clearly to engineers and non-engineers.

  • Understanding of security, documentation, change control, and operational stability in a mission environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in federal, DoW, cloud, classified, or other controlled environments.

  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD or comparable pipeline platforms and source-control workflows.

  • Experience with cloud automation, event-driven workflows, containerized applications, and infrastructure as code.

  • Cloud, DevOps, security, or infrastructure certifications relevant to the role.

Operating Environment
  • Engineering team supporting cloud infrastructure, software factory services, automation, security compliance, and production operations.

  • Work may include both planned engineering buildout and troubleshooting of mission-impacting issues.

  • The engineer will take technical directions from the Technical Delivery Manager, Deputy TDM, or Cloud/Software Factory lead as needed to complete required tasks.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, network, application, and customer teams.

Required Skills: Experience with scripting or software development, CI/CD or automation tooling, cloud or infrastructure services, source control, technical troubleshooting, and documentation.

Required Certification: DoW 8570/8140 baseline certification such as Security+ CE.

Clearance: Top Secret

Required Experience: 8+ years of related software development, automation, DevOps, cloud, systems engineering, or mission IT experience.

Preferred Skills: Exposure to PowerShell, Python, Bash, GitLab or similar CI/CD tools, containers, cloud services (Azure, AWS), infrastructure as code, security scanning, vulnerability remediation, and controlled or regulated environments.
