Overview:

Role : Financial Business Analyst (Finance Domain Exp.)

Location: McLean, VA (5 Days Onsite)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document business requirements from Accounting, Finance, and Tax systems 
  • Collaborated with Finance and Accounting teams to translate business requirements
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for technology/process solutions
  • Map current-state processes and design future-state workflows
  • Support UAT, data validation, and process documentation (SOPs, process flows)
  • Facilitate communication between business units and technical/delivery teams
  • Identify process improvement and automation opportunities
  • Min 7+ years exp as Business Analyst, with direct exposure to accounting, finance, or tax functions
  • Experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services (GSE experience a plus)
  • Strong requirements-gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with financial systems/ERP and reporting tools
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Experience with reimbursable operating expense (ROE) or similar mortgage servicing cost processes
  • Exposure to tax compliance workflows (federal/state, GSE-specific reporting)
  • SQL or data analysis skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Min 7+ years exp as Business Analyst, with direct exposure to accounting, finance, or tax functions
  • Experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services (GSE experience a plus)
  • Strong requirements-gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with financial systems/ERP and reporting tools
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination skills

Preferred:
Experience with reimbursable operating expense (ROE) or similar mortgage servicing cost processes

  • Exposure to tax compliance workflows (federal/state, GSE-specific reporting)
  • SQL or data analysis skills
