Welcome to the Agentic Commerce Era

At Commerce, our mission is to empower businesses to innovate, grow, and thrive with our open, AI-driven commerce ecosystem. As the parent company of BigCommerce, Feedonomics, and Makeswift, we connect the tools and systems that power growth, enabling businesses to unlock the full potential of their data, deliver seamless and personalized experiences across every channel, and adapt swiftly to an ever-changing market. Simply said, we help businesses confidently solve complex commerce challenges so they can build smarter, adapt faster, and grow on their own terms. If you want to be part of a team of bold builders, sharp thinkers, and technical trailblazers, working together to shape the future of commerce, this is the place for you.

The Digital Commerce Growth Director will own the performance and continuous improvement of the Commerce digital experience, building and running the commercial and technical engine that drives self-serve revenue, pipeline, and conversion at scale. This is a hands-on role for a practitioner who has led and grown a digital commerce business and brings an operator's instinct to every decision.

What You Will Do:
  • Own the health and performance of the full digital commerce journey from first touch through trial and purchase into the sales handoff

  • Build and maintain the visibility needed to make confident investment decisions, including campaign data, funnel trends, and conversion rates

  • Drive the self-serve to sales handoff by identifying and routing ICP trials to the right sales team with full journey context

  • Serve as the voice of the buyer by maintaining a feedback loop from trialing or self-serve customers back into the site, messaging, and product experience

  • Champion AI and modern conversion tooling in partnership with Solutions Engineering to reduce friction and improve data quality

  • Build the operating rhythm, including weekly measurement, regular reporting, and clear data on investment priorities

  • Act as an active member of cross-functional initiative sprints to identify high-impact problems and build fast, measurable outcomes

Who We Are Looking For:
  • A practitioner who has led and grown a digital commerce business with direct accountability for conversion rates and trial flows. Must have practitioner experience on the BigCommerce platform

  • A commercially minded leader who connects digital experience decisions to revenue outcomes using data rather than intuition. Has held a revenue goal for the site

  • An expert with full-stack fluency in technology, traffic acquisition, trial experience, conversion, routing, and retention

  • Someone with Commerce platform knowledge from a deployment/solutions team

  • A natural collaborator who can move projects forward across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Ops without needing formal authority

  • A curious leader who lives in dashboards and heatmaps but also talks to customers to understand the "why" behind the numbers

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in a digital commerce, growth, or optimization role with a proven track record of measurable outcomes

Work Where You Thrive

For candidates based in the Austin, TX Metro area, this role follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week in the office to balance focused individual work and meaningful in-person collaboration.

Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered a candidate.

(Pay Transparency Range: $143,154.00 - 214,730.00 USD)
