Own the marketing execution engine across HubSpot automation, technical SEO and AEO, email and newsletter operations, blog distribution, social channels, analytics, webinars, and event logistics. The role requires hands-on ownership of marketing systems, deliverability, search visibility, reporting, and recurring publishing processes. It is an individual contributor position initially, with potential to lead a small team as the company grows.

Who we are

Altimate AI provides an expert agentic data engineering harness to automate the work of data teams. These generate data pipelines, write data documentation/tests, and optimize data infrastructure autonomously. In particular they help to automatically reduce the total cost of ownership on Databricks and Snowflake.

Teams using Altimate.ai have seen 3x accelerated data development and up to 30% reduction in cloud data infrastructure costs. Altimate is used by hundreds of companies and thousands of weekly active users. Read more about us in this VentureBeat Article.

We are a Series A startup of 50+ people, distributed across India (mainly Bangalore) and the US. Working here means short deadlines, juggling several things at once, adapting quickly, and making calls without complete information. If you have done marketing at a startup, you will recognize this.

Role summary

Reporting directly to the head of marketing, you will run the execution engine of our marketing team: the systems, the channels, the publishing cadence, and the reporting that tells us what is working.

This is a hands-on role covering the full range of digital marketing mechanics: marketing automation, email, blog publishing, social, events, and reporting. Search/answer-engine visibility, and email outreach/deliverability are two immediate priorities, and we will increase the scope of the role over time based on the skills and interests of the successful candidate along with company priorities.

We are a small team, so we would rather shape the role around what you are good at than hold you to a fixed spec. If you bring depth in something we have not listed (paid acquisition, lifecycle, partner marketing, ABM) we will make room for it if it fits our strategy, and fill the gap elsewhere with contract help or other people on the team.

As an AI-native company, we expect you to work the way we build product: using agentic AI tools, skills, and scheduled automations to scale your own output, and not doing everything by hand.

What you'll own

Marketing systems and automation. HubSpot is our system of record: segments, properties, workflows, forms, campaign tracking, and integrations with the rest of our stack. You will be the primary system owner.

Search and answer-engine visibility (AEO/SEO). On-site and off-site work across altimate.ai and help.altimate.ai: technical SEO, on-page optimization, structured data, site architecture and internal linking, backlinks and listings, and optimization for AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews). Build the measurement that shows whether it is working.

Email and newsletter. Manage the subscription list and opt-in process. Build, schedule, and send a regular newsletter from material our engineering team and contract writer produce. Own hygiene, segmentation, and deliverability. Set KPIs and own the process for meeting them.

Blog publishing and distribution. Get engineering- and writer-authored articles live (Hashnode today, though we may change the publication flow), then build exposure for them: syndication, communities, newsletters, cross-posting.

Social channels. Own our channels day to day. Turn existing long-form content into posts, judge which channels are worth our effort, and grow reach. You are not writing the source material, but you need judgment about what will land where.

Analytics and reporting. Track numbers from GA4, PostHog, Google Search Console, HubSpot, OpenSEO and elsewhere and act on them.

Digital events. Webinars and online events end to end: platform, registration workflow, promotion, reminders, follow-up, reporting.

In-person event logistics. Coordinate our presence at conferences and meetups in North America and Europe — venue and vendor bookings, shipping, schedules, promotion, lead capture, follow-up. We also expect to run occasional events in India (meetups, recruiting events) that you would help promote.

Where this role goes long term

To start off, we are hiring an individual contributor. As the team scales, we expect this role to grow into leading a small team, and we are looking for someone with the ambition and judgment to step up when that happens. If your goal is to stay a pure IC indefinitely, this is not the right fit.

What this role is not
  • Not a content writing role. Our existing team produce the blog posts, newsletter articles, and SEO content. You help project manage and distribute that work; you do not author it.

  • Not a design role. Visual creative is handled elsewhere.

  • Not a product-technical role. You do not need to understand data engineering our product internals to do this job well, but a demonstrated familiarity with software development and data engineering would be a big plus.

What we're looking for
  • 4+ years in digital marketing, 6 preferred, with meaningful time in startups or small multi-channel marketing teams.

  • Hands-on ownership of a marketing automation tools: configuring it, not just working inside something someone else built.

  • Email marketing infrastructure experience: selecting or implementing an ESP, migrating a contact database, building a compliant opt-in flow, and diagnosing genuine deliverability problems. Just sending campaigns inside an already-healthy system is not the same thing.

  • Technical SEO you have done yourself: schema, site architecture, crawl and index health — plus a current, practical point of view on AEO.

  • Self-sufficiency in the tools: GA4, Google Search Console, HubSpot, Ahrefs/Semrush/OpenSEO or equivalent.

  • Practical fluency with agentic AI tools: specific workflows and automations you have built and run, not general familiarity.

  • Operational reliability. A large part of this job is recurring work that has to happen on schedule and correctly.

Nice to have
  • Paid acquisition experience (Google, LinkedIn, retargeting). We may bring it into scope if you have it

  • Experience marketing to technical or developer audiences, or in the data ecosystem

  • Comfort with a git-based publishing flow (markdown, pull requests)

  • Light editing of technical content written by others

  • Experience briefing and managing external agencies or contractors

Logistics
  • We are augmenting a team distributed across India (mainly Bangalore) and the US. Reasonable overlap with both matters.

  • No travel is required. Our in-person events are in North America and Europe.
