The Role

The Digital PR Manager is the primary Digital PR point of contact for 4-6 assigned clients, accountable for developing campaigns that earn media coverage, backlinks, and brand visibility. You'll oversee the full campaign lifecycle — from understanding client goals and developing strategy through launch, promotion, reporting, and optimization — working closely with Data Journalists and PR Specialists to make sure campaigns are strategically sound, efficiently executed, and positioned to earn meaningful media attention.

This is both a strategic and operational leadership role. You'll balance client management, campaign strategy, media promotion, and team coordination to drive strong DPR outcomes, and you're responsible for growing and retaining both the people and the accounts you manage.

Responsibilities
  • Own the Digital PR relationship for 4-6 assigned clients
  • Lead DPR conversations, set expectations, communicate campaign progress and performance, navigate challenges, and identify opportunities to improve the engagement
  • Be accountable for client satisfaction, retention, and the overall quality of the DPR experience
  • Lead strategy for assigned clients, including developing campaign roadmaps, identifying timely news opportunities, evaluating campaign ideas, and determining the right mix of proprietary data, reactive PR, linkable assets, and other promotion levers
  • Ensure campaigns align with client objectives, news cycles, and media demand
  • Oversee the end-to-end campaign lifecycle across assigned accounts, ensuring campaigns are properly scoped, scheduled, launched, and promoted on time
  • Proactively identify blockers, manage competing priorities, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to keep work moving
  • Provide direction and support to a team of 2-3 Data Journalists and PR Specialists working on assigned accounts
  • Delegate effectively, provide actionable feedback, and develop team members' strategic and executional capabilities
  • Monitor campaign and account performance against DPR KPIs, such media mentions, mentions per campaign, open rates, on-time launches, and client satisfaction
  • Use performance data to identify optimization opportunities and communicate meaningful results and recommendations to clients
  • Lead client-facing Digital PR communications, including campaign presentations, deliverable reviews, performance updates, and difficult conversations
  • Build trust with clients by communicating proactively, clearly, and confidently
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of PR experience in an agency environment
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and being the primary point of contact for accounts
  • Experience developing campaign strategy and roadmaps, including proprietary data, reactive PR, and linkable assets
  • Experience leading and mentoring a PR team
  • Experience using project management and team collaboration platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and/or Productive
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing presentations and difficult conversations
  • Track record of hitting performance KPIs such as media placements, LLM mentions, backlinks, and on-time campaign delivery
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
Suggested Skills
  • Experience working with clients in the fintech, SaaS, and/or ecommerce industries
  • Familiarity with media relationship-building and pitch strategy
  • Experience with performance reporting tools and client dashboards
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • Experience working and collaborating in a 100% remote setting with teammates and clients across multiple time zones

The salary range for this position is $80,000.00-85,000.00.

Please plan to upload the following information during the application process: (1) Your resume and (2) a short introduction/cover letter explaining why you are interested in this role.
