About ALSO.

We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

The Role

We are seeking a Digital Product Manager to help define, prioritize, and unify our digital product experiences across our vehicle, mobile app, and website ecosystems.

This role is designed for a Product Manager who may grow into broader ownership over time. You will focus on translating customer needs into clear, technically grounded product requirements — ensuring that user-facing products are coherent, scalable, and aligned with our brand POV.

You will own product definition and prioritization, while Technical Program Managers own delivery and execution.

What You’ll Own

The Digital Product Manager will serve as the connective tissue between vehicle, mobile, and web experiences, ensuring that customers experience a unified and intuitive ecosystem rather than a collection of disconnected products.

You will work closely with Vehicle Product Managers, Design, Engineering, Customer Experience, Commercial, and Operations teams to define digital features, prioritize investments, and ensure consistency across the entire customer journey.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of hardware and software and can translate customer needs into clear product requirements across multiple platforms.

What You Will DoDigital Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Own the roadmap for customer-facing digital experiences across:

    • Vehicle interfaces and displays

    • Mobile applications (iOS and Android)

    • Customer web experiences

    • Fleet and operational tools as applicable

  • Develop a multi-year vision for ALSO's connected ecosystem.

  • Define and prioritize features based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.

  • Ensure roadmap alignment across vehicle, software, and commercial initiatives.

Connected Experience Ownership
  • Create a seamless customer experience across:

    • User Setup & Onboarding.

    • Remote Vehicle Controls

    • Service & Support

    • Telemetry & Ride Analytics

  • Define how capabilities should be distributed between vehicle, mobile, and web touchpoints.

Product Definition & Requirements
  • Translate customer needs and business objectives into detailed product requirements.

  • Author user stories, feature requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.

  • Collaborate with Design to develop user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.

  • Work with Engineering to ensure requirements are technically feasible and clearly understood.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with:

    • Vehicle Product Management

    • UX/UI Design

    • Software Engineering

    • Systems Engineering

    • Customer Experience

    • Marketing and Commercial teams

  • Align stakeholders around priorities, tradeoffs, and product decisions.

  • Facilitate roadmap reviews and feature planning sessions.

Customer Insights & Validation
  • Conduct customer interviews and usability studies.

  • Analyze customer feedback, usage analytics, and behavioral data.

  • Identify friction points across the ownership journey.

  • Validate concepts and iterate based on customer learning.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and monitor KPIs for digital product success.

  • Track adoption, engagement, retention, and satisfaction metrics.

  • Use telemetry and analytics to prioritize improvements.

  • Continuously refine the digital experience after launch.

What You'll Bring
  • 3–6+ years of product management experience, ideally in:

    • E-mobility

    • Software-enabled consumer or hardware-adjacent products

  • Proven ability to translate business goals into clear product requirements.

  • Experience working closely with Engineering, Design, TPM, and Commercial stakeholders.

  • Strong written communication skills and comfort producing structured documentation.

  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and grow ownership over time.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with DTC + retail hybrid models.

  • Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, ERP, logistics, or service systems (conceptual understanding).

  • Background in mobility, consumer hardware, or complex physical products that require service and connectivity.

  • Exposure to subscription, service, or entitlement-based experiences.

Explicit Non-Fits
  • Sales, growth marketing, or business development–only profiles.

  • Program or project managers without product ownership.

  • Candidates expecting to own delivery rather than product definition.

  • Candidates seeking a GM or P&L owner role.

The salary for this position ranges from $160,000 - $190,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Perks & Benefits
  • Robust health coverage — excellent health, dental, and vision insurance covered up to 100% by ALSO, with FSA & HSA options

  • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates

  • Rich fertility and family-building benefits with Progyny

  • Flexible time off

  • 401(k) match

Why ALSO.

We’re located in the heart of Silicon Valley and have brought together a world-class team from some of the biggest brands in the technology, automotive, cycling, outdoor recreation and retail spaces.

Together we’re working hands-on to imagine, design and build an entirely new solution to a global set of transportation challenges.
