The Digital Win Room Deal Strategist is a vital sales leadership role at Microsoft, focused on driving meaningful outcomes for the company’s most strategic customers. This role partners closely with Account Teams to accelerate progress on high-impact opportunities by identifying and unlocking growth potential across cloud, services, and enterprise solutions. 

In this role, you’ll help drive customer success and business growth by identifying opportunities to expand consumption and revenue. You’ll collaborate across teams to align and activate corporate resources as “One Microsoft,” secure the necessary people and financial investments, and work closely with account teams to execute strategic plans that deepen customer engagement and accelerate Microsoft’s impact.

Responsibilities

Core Integration Services 

  • Account Partnership: Collaborating closely with account teams to shape and execute strategic plans and remove blockers. 

  • Divisional DWR: Facilitating weekly regional sessions to provide deal coaching and unblock execution. 

  • Executive DWR: Engaging senior leadership in high-level strategy and investment forums for strategic deals. 

Strategic Customer Engagement 

  • Embed directly with account teams on assigned customers. 

  • Act as a coach to accelerate customer outcomes, business growth, and deal closure. 

  • Drive customer maturity through strategic planning and agile execution. 

  • Integrate seamlessly with account teams to support execution with speed and precision. 

Stakeholder & Demand Management 

  • Prioritize incoming DWR coaching requests based on strategic impact. 

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and engagement timelines. 

  • Balance coaching demand across multiple accounts and regions. 

Expertise Development 

  • Build deep expertise in assigned accounts, industries, and customer maturity models. 

  • Develop broad knowledge of Microsoft’s solution portfolio and sales frameworks. 

  • Stay current on evolving customer needs and market dynamics. 

Continuous Improvement & Insight Generation 

  • Analyze engagement patterns to identify opportunities for service improvement. 

  • Generate insights that inform best practices and elevate DWR impact. 

  • Contribute to the evolution of DWR services and business agility through feedback loops and innovation. 


Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications 
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record driving large, complex enterprise deals or expansions
  • Ability to influence without authority in a highly matrixed environment
  • Executive communication and storytelling skills
  • Experience with DWR, SPT, or equivalent deal orchestration environments
  • Understanding of MACC structures, large deal incentives, and enterprise agreements
  • Background in Industry GTM, strategic accounts, or complex deal desk
  • Familiarity with Microsoft sales ecosystem and MSX insights
 
 

Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
