Job Summary & Responsibilities

General Summary:


This position is responsible for leading and evolving our brand identity, content strategy, and influencer marketing programs. This role is responsible for building brand equity, driving organic audience growth, and ensuring a consistent, compelling brand voice across all channels. You will partner closely with the existing PR function, with your primary focus on brand storytelling, content excellence, and influencer-led growth.


Essential Job Functions: *


Brand Strategy & Identity

1. Define and steward the overall brand strategy, visual identity, tone of voice, and messaging architecture across all touchpoints.

2. Own the enterprise strategy for AI visibility and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), ensuring the Data Axle brand, content, and digital experiences are optimized for discovery, authority, and representation across AI-powered search and answer platforms.

3. Ensure brand consistency across digital, social, events, campaigns, and partner co-marketing.

4. Develop and maintain brand guidelines used by internal teams and external partners.

5. Translate business objectives into compelling brand narratives that resonate with target audiences.

Content Strategy & Editorial

1. Own the content strategy roadmap, including thought leadership, blog, video, email and campaign content around brand awareness

2. Lead and develop the content team to produce high-quality, on-brand content at scale.

3. Build editorial calendars aligned with product launches, campaigns, and key market moments.

4. Define content KPIs and continuously optimize based on performance data.

5. Manage external content resources including contractors and agencies to extend production capacity.

Influencer & Partner Marketing

1. Build and manage an influencer marketing program from strategy through execution, including identification, contracting, briefing, and performance measurement.

2. Develop tiered influencer relationships — from nano/micro to macro and executive-level thought leaders.

3. Partner with demand generation and social teams to amplify influencer content across owned and paid channels.

4. Identify co-marketing and brand partnership opportunities that drive audience growth and brand credibility.


Social Media & Community

1. Oversee organic social media strategy and execution across LinkedIn and emerging platforms.

2. Manage social execution resources to maintain consistent cadence and quality across all channels.

3. Drive community engagement strategies that build audience loyalty and brand advocacy.

4. Monitor brand sentiment, social listening, and competitive positioning.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

1. Partner with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Sales, and the existing AR/PR function to align brand efforts with go-to-market strategies.

2. Manage agency and contractor relationships, including scope, budget, and performance.

3. Report on brand health metrics, content performance, and influencer ROI to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

5. Proven track record building and scaling influencer marketing programs with measurable results.

6. Deep expertise in content strategy — from editorial planning to distribution to performance optimization.

7. Strong creative sensibility balanced with analytical rigor; comfortable using data to inform brand decisions.

8. Experience managing agency relationships and hybrid team structures (internal + contractor + agency).

9. Excellent written communication skills with a sharp editorial eye and strong brand instincts.

10. Familiarity with marketing tools including content management, social scheduling, SEO, and analytics platforms.


Education, Experience, and Certification: *


1. 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, content strategy, or integrated marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

2. Experience in B2B marketing environments; SaaS or tech industry experience a plus.

1. No direct or indirect reports.

2. No supervisory responsibility: General direction only received.

3. Working conditions are good, with some travel, and a consistent workweek.

4. Errors are not always detectible and may be serious and costly.

6. Some access to confidential data.
