Position Overview

The Director of Business Development is responsible for accelerating the growth of Autodesk Flow Capture by creating net-new production opportunities and expanding Autodesk's presence across the Media & Entertainment production ecosystem. This role will identify high-value market opportunities, cultivate strategic customer and partner relationships, and develop repeatable business development programs that generate qualified pipeline and support regional growth. Working with cross-functional teams, this leader translates strategic growth priorities into scalable customer engagement, partner activation, and market expansion initiatives that increase adoption and commercial momentum.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies that create net-new production opportunities and expand Autodesk's production footprint

  • Identify priority market segments, strategic accounts, and emerging opportunities to drive qualified pipeline for Flow Capture

  • Build relationships with studios, production companies, VFX facilities, animation studios, game developers, and other strategic customers to accelerate adoption

  • Develop repeatable business development plays, including customer targeting, industry messaging, account engagement strategies, and regional opportunity plans

  • Activate partners and resellers by defining market opportunities, value propositions, and engagement models that expand reach and pipeline

  • Align growth priorities, develop strategic opportunities, and drive customer adoption that leads to production adoption

  • Establish operating mechanisms and metrics to measure opportunity development, pipeline creation, partner contribution, customer engagement, and business development effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, GTM strategy, or commercial growth leadership

  • 5+ years of experience in Media & Entertainment, production technology and enterprise SaaS, creative software

  • Demonstrated success identifying new market opportunities and developing business development strategies that resulted in measurable pipeline growth, customer adoption, and revenue expansion

  • Experience launching emerging products or entering new markets through strategic customer engagement, partner ecosystem development, and scalable go-to-market programs

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and execute in a matrixed environment across Product, Sales, Channel, Strategy, and Operations

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $181,000 and $324,280. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
