Forward Networks is transforming how the world’s most complex networks are managed and secured. Founded in 2013 by four Stanford Ph.D.s, we built the industry’s first network digital twin — a mathematically precise model of the production network that gives IT teams unmatched visibility, verification, and agility across every major cloud and vendor environment.

Our customers include global leaders such as Goldman Sachs, PayPal, S&P Global, IBM, and Dell, as well as fast-growing enterprises and government agencies. According to IDC, Forward Networks customers realize an average of $14.2 million in annual benefits through improved efficiency and security.

Backed by world-class investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, MSD Partners, and Threshold Ventures, Forward Networks offers a people-centric, innovative culture where brilliant minds are shaping the future of network reliability, security, and AI-ready operations.

We are seeking a Director, Content and Digital Marketing to lead our global content strategy, digital presence, and organic growth initiatives. This is a critical leadership role that combines storytelling, editorial leadership, digital marketing, and modern content operations. You will own the corporate website, SEO strategy, social media programs, editorial calendar, and content engine that power awareness, engagement, pipeline creation, and category leadership.

Working closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Executive Communications, Product Management, and company leadership, you will translate complex technical concepts into compelling content that resonates with enterprise and government audiences worldwide. You will establish scalable, AI-enabled content workflows, build a high-performing team, and create the systems that enable Forward to tell its story consistently and effectively as the company grows.

This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities
  •       Own and evolve the corporate website, ensuring it effectively communicates company positioning, supports demand generation objectives, and delivers an exceptional digital experience.
  •       Develop and execute the company's SEO strategy to increase visibility, organic traffic, audience engagement, and pipeline contribution.
  •       Develop and manage the global editorial calendar, aligning content to key audiences, market trends, product priorities, and company initiatives.
  •       Lead the creation and production of content assets that support the entire buyer journey, including blog posts, executive thought leadership, LinkedIn content, web copy, customer stories, solution briefs, white papers, ebooks, videos, and other digital assets.
  •       Partner with Executive Communications to produce executive content, including blogs, articles, speaking support, and thought leadership initiatives.
  •       Support product launches, integrated marketing campaigns, and demand generation programs with compelling content and digital experiences.
  •       Own the company's organic social media strategy and execution across key channels.
  •       Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and subject matter experts to identify stories, insights, and content opportunities.
  •       Establish scalable content operations and AI-enabled workflows that improve efficiency, consistency, and content performance.
  •       Measure and optimize website, content, SEO, social, and campaign performance using engagement, conversion, pipeline, and attribution metrics.
  •       Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team spanning content, digital, social, and web disciplines.
Qualifications
  •       10+ years of experience in enterprise software, SaaS, content marketing, digital marketing, or related disciplines.
  •       Proven track record developing content and digital strategies that drive audience engagement, pipeline creation, and business growth.
  •       Strong editorial instincts with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  •       Experience managing corporate websites, SEO programs, content operations, and digital experiences.
  •       Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for both business and technical audiences.
  •       Experience partnering with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Executive Communications, Product Management, and senior leadership teams.
  •       Familiarity with AI-powered content creation, workflow automation, and modern content operations practices.
  •       Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and performance insights to optimize content investments, digital experiences, SEO performance, and business outcomes.
  •       Experience building and leading teams across content, digital marketing, social media, and web functions.
  •       Familiarity with enterprise software and SaaS business models, including how marketing, sales, and customer success work together to drive adoption and growth.
  •       Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary is expected to be between $225,000/yr to $260,000/yr. The offered compensation may also include bonus and stock.
