About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Experience
Agentforce is the future of AI — and the strategic partnerships that power it are the future of Salesforce. We're looking for a Director, Business Development – Strategic Partnerships to own one of the company's most consequential mandates: building transformative partnerships with the world's leading technology and AI companies. This is a builder role at the frontier. You will architect partnership frameworks, align joint GTM incentives, win lighthouse customers, and establish repeatable, scalable patterns that strengthen Salesforce's market position in the AI era.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
  • Own end-to-end co-innovation strategy and deal execution for Salesforce's most strategic technology and AI partnerships
  • Design and drive 360 partnership models that unlock co-sell, co-build, and co-market motions at scale, aligning joint GTM incentives across product, sales, marketing, and engineering
  • Serve as Salesforce's strategic radar: proactively identifying emerging conflicts, competitive shifts, and new opportunities before they become crises, and quickly addressing them
  • Partner closely with leading technology and AI companies to shape joint roadmaps, secure early access to new capabilities, and amplify Salesforce's reputation and relevance as an AI leader
  • Engage and influence at the C-suite and VP level across partner organizations and internally — building alignment, momentum, and mutual accountability
  • Developing long-horizon partnership strategies that compound over time and are resilient to market shifts
You're Our Person If...
  • 7-10+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate strategy experience in enterprise software, cloud, or AI
  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling complex, high-value partnerships with large technology companies
  • Deep fluency in the AI and cloud ecosystem: the players, the incentive structures, the competitive dynamics, and where the market is heading
  • Exceptional commercial instincts — proven ability to structure deals that create durable, mutual value
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence without authority at every level of an organization
  • High EQ and conflict resolution skills — you surface and address tensions proactively, keeping partnerships productive and healthy
  • Entrepreneurial drive — energized by ambiguity, able to move fast and build structure where none exists
Even Better If...
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Marketing to bring partnership strategies to life
  • Prior experience in a BD role at or partnering with a leading cloud or AI company
  • Track record of driving AI platform consumption through partner-led motions
