The Director, Data will be a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing our data-driven initiatives.

The Director, Data provides guidance and leadership in shaping the organization's long-term goals and objectives, including developing and executing plans that align with the company's mission, vision, and values, while ensuring that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.

  • Develops and executes the data strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives

  • Oversees the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient data models and data warehousing solutions

  • Drives the implementation and enhancement of ETL processes to ensure the timely and accurate ingestion of data from various sources

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify data and analytics needs and provide valuable insights to support decision-making

  • Establishes and enforces data governance policies and best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance

  • Monitors data performance metrics and conducts regular assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization

  • Stays abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation

  • Identifies, develops, and implements improvements in processes or policies and ensures adoption within the function and organization

  • Develops and manages the functional budget and ensures resources and assets are managed within the approved budget

  • Collaborates in hiring activities including candidate selection, participation in panel and individual interviews, and making hiring decisions

  • Supports collaborators in all aspect of training and development including performance, behaviors, competencies, and alignment

  • Participates in the successful implementation of functional projects as they arise

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited institution is required, a or Master’s degree is preferred

  • Demonstrated a minimum of 10 years of experience in data management, data engineering, or a related field is required

  • Demonstrated a minimum of five years in a leadership or managerial role is required

  • Demonstrated a minimum of five years of experience with Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud-based technologies, particularly AWS and Snowflake, is required

  • Demonstrated experience in various data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, Domo, or similar is required

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively leading and developing high-performing data and analytics teams is required

  • Demonstrated experience conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is required
