The opportunity
The Director of Delivery is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of Aura’s technology delivery strategy, supporting products used by over 600M active users globally.
This role drives cross-functional collaboration, optimizes processes, and ensures the timely, high-quality release of products and services.
In this position, you will align technology execution with business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, ensure operational excellence, maintain production stability, and lead 3 highly strategic operational groups: Technical Program Management, Tech Support Engineering, and QA Release.
What you'll be doing
- Directly lead and develop the Delivery Group (Technical Program Management, Tech Support Engineering, and QA Release) while ensuring clear interfaces and effective execution across Product, R&D, and other partners.
- Lead end-to-end delivery execution across the full tech project lifecycle, from planning through deployment, ensuring alignment with company strategy and timely, high-quality releases.
- Drive strategic planning and roadmap alignment by partnering with Product, R&D, and Business stakeholders to define priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure seamless execution.
- Optimize processes and operational efficiency by establishing delivery frameworks, improving collaboration, enhancing release management, and strengthening production stability.
- Lead company-wide operational improvements by identifying cross-team bottlenecks, driving structural changes, and implementing KPI-driven processes that improve quality, speed, and organizational alignment.
- Oversee production stability and cross-team operational performance by directing Support, Engineering, QA, and Release leaders to uphold strong investigation practices, manage clear and effective escalations, and ensure timely, high-quality responses to production incidents.
What we're looking for
- 7+ years of proven experience leading Technical Program Management, Delivery, or Professional Services teams. Experience managing managers and leading multiple operational teams simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and technical project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities - strong strategic planning, independent problem-solving, excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in optimizing existing team processes, managing risks, and driving operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills to define and track performance metrics, support day-to-day decision making, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proven ability to lead cross-team initiatives, simplify organization-wide workflows, and drive meaningful process changes across the company.
- Experience collaborating in production environments, including managing escalations, supporting incident resolution, and contributing to postmortem and stability practices.
