Director, Electrical Engineering - Corded & Cordless Products
Needham, MA
Lead the Electrical Engineering Behind Products Used in Millions of Homes
SharkNinja's corded and cordless product portfolio spans some of the most technically demanding categories in consumer electronics - and the electrical engineering that powers them has to be exceptional. We're looking for a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead that work: a hands-on technical leader who can drive complex programs from early concept through high-volume production, and build a team that sets the standard for how we design and deliver hardware.
This is a role for someone who leads from the front. You'll be as comfortable reviewing a PCB layout or debugging a motor control circuit as you are presenting to senior leadership or partnering with contract manufacturers overseas. You set the technical bar, and your team feels it.
What You'll Own
You'll lead a team of electrical engineers responsible for the design, prototyping, and validation of electrical systems across SharkNinja's corded and cordless portfolio - with full accountability from architecture decisions through regulatory sign-off.
  • Lead electrical engineering across power electronics, embedded systems, circuit design, and hardware development for consumer products at scale
  • Own the full hardware development process: schematics, PCB layouts, circuit simulation, DVT, and compliance (UL, FCC, CE, IEC, and others)
  • Drive power system integration - power conversion, motor control, and energy-efficient solutions - ensuring performance and reliability at high volume
  • Ensure embedded system architecture meets requirements for performance, scalability, and real-time firmware integration
  • Champion DFM and DFT practices in close partnership with manufacturing, operations, and contract manufacturers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, industrial design, product development, and R&D to ensure seamless system integration
  • Partner with external suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective hardware solutions
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent - growing individual capabilities and building long-term team depth

What You Bring
  • 8+ years in electrical engineering, with 3+ years in technical leadership or management role
  • Deep expertise in power electronics: power conversion, motor control, and battery systems
  • Solid background in embedded systems design, microcontrollers, and real-time firmware integration
  • Proven track record developing and launching high-volume consumer electronics
  • Strong grasp of DFM, DFT, and hardware regulatory compliance
  • Experience managing DVT processes and navigating certification requirements
  • Effective communicator - equally credible in a technical design review and an executive update
  • A leadership style that raises the bar: direct, collaborative, and invested in developing the people around you

Why This Role
SharkNinja is one of the fastest-growing consumer product companies in the world, and electrical engineering is core to how we compete. You'll have the scope to shape how an entire product category is engineered, the resources to build a world-class team, and the visibility that comes with owning a critical function at a company that moves fast and takes quality seriously.
If you're a technical leader who wants to build something - not just manage it - we'd like to talk.
