Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the teams building and scaling our Opportunity to Order (O2O) platform — the backbone of how Autodesk's sales organization creates opportunities, generates quotes, and converts them into contracts and revenue.

Powered by Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, and CLM, the O2O platform connects our internal sales teams and channel partners to downstream billing, provisioning, and ERP systems at global scale. You will own the strategy and execution of this platform end-to-end — from architecture and engineering excellence to team growth and cross-functional alignment.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of sales technology, revenue operations, and AI-driven transformation. You'll collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales Operations, and Finance, and you'll serve as a key voice in Autodesk's broader engineering community.

Responisibilites

  • Define the long-term vision and scalability roadmap for Autodesk's Salesforce CRM, CPQ, and CLM platforms

  • Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end Opportunity to Order systems — spanning opportunity management, quoting, order orchestration, and contract lifecycle

  • Build and scale robust integrations between Salesforce, ERP, subscription management, and downstream fulfillment systems

  • Champion API-first architecture and microservices-based integration patterns across the platform

  • Represent your teams in cross-functional architecture and engineering forums, driving alignment on shared standards and reusable components

  • Spearhead the integration of AI-assisted tooling, LLMs, and agentic workflows — including Salesforce Agentforce — into core CRM operations

  • Identify high-leverage opportunities to automate and accelerate sales and revenue workflows through intelligent systems

  • Establish and evolve engineering best practices for Salesforce development, API design, testing, and integration architecture

  • Drive improvements in platform reliability, scalability, and developer productivity

  • Own engineering quality metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives across your teams

  • Recruit, develop, and scale high-performing engineering teams, managing multiple teams and engineering managers

  • Mentor engineers and managers to grow their technical depth, delivery effectiveness, and leadership impact

  • Build and sustain a culture of accountability, curiosity, and customer-centric thinking

  • Partner with Product Management, Sales Operations, Finance, and business stakeholders to translate business priorities into scalable technical solutions

  • Align CRM and O2O platform capabilities with Autodesk's go-to-market strategy and revenue goals

  • Communicate architecture tradeoffs, risks, and delivery status clearly to both technical and executive audiences

Minimum Qualification

  • 10+ years of industry experience building enterprise SaaS platforms and distributed systems

  • 5+ years leading and scaling engineering teams, including management of engineering managers

  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce platform development — Apex, Lightning components, and enterprise integrations

  • Proven track record implementing Salesforce CRM, CPQ, and/or Revenue Cloud solutions

  • Deep understanding of Opportunity-to-Cash and Quote-to-Order business processes

  • Experience designing API-driven architectures and microservices-based integrations

  • Strong fluency in Agile development methodologies and iterative delivery practices

  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex technical topics for both engineering and business audiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5+ years at the director or senior engineering management level, leading multiple global teams

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, data lifecycle management, and microservices architecture at enterprise scale

  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration patterns and agentic workflows within enterprise CRM platforms

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, scale organizations, and deliver against aggressive business goals
