We are expanding into emerging, high-growth markets—including AI data-center infrastructure and next-generation AI hardware—and are looking for a business development leader to help establish UnitX as a strategic partner to the companies defining these industries.

The Role

Location: Milpitas, CA

We are looking for a hands-on Head of Finance / Director of Finance(based on the experience) to own the finance function end to end. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead accounting and consolidated financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, controls, tax and compliance coordination, and strategic finance. You will work closely with leaders across sales, operations, supply chain, and international teams to translate financial data into decisions and build scalable processes for a rapidly growing global company.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and deliver accurate, timely consolidated financial statements across global legal entities.

  • Lead multi-entity consolidation, including intercompany accounting and eliminations, foreign-currency translation, and coordination with local accounting teams and external providers.

  • Own the integrity of the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, with clear reconciliations, controls, and management reporting.

  • Prepare Board and investor reporting, support financing and diligence processes, and serve as a credible finance representative to investors, banks, auditors, vendors, and other external stakeholders.

  • Lead the accounting function and uplevel the processes, team, and systems required to support growth, audit readiness, and increasing organizational complexity.

  • Develop and maintain the company's operating model, annual budget, rolling forecast, long-range plan, and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.

  • Define and manage company-level financial KPIs and unit economics across departments, geographies, customers, and products; build reporting packages that drive accountability and performance.

  • Partner with sales leaders on go-to-market planning, bookings and revenue forecasting, pricing, sales compensation, and customer economics.

  • Partner with supply chain and operations to manage COGS, inventory, working capital, and gross margin; build a detailed understanding of product and deployment margin drivers.

  • Own treasury and cash management, including banking relationships, liquidity planning, cross-border fund flows, and working-capital discipline.

  • Coordinate tax, statutory reporting, audit, insurance, and financial compliance requirements across the company's global entities, working with internal and external partners.

  • Build and streamline scalable business processes and systems, including reimbursement, commissions, quote-to-cash, invoicing, contracting workflows, and financial systems.

  • Build and lead a high-performing North America finance organization, tightly coordinated with the global financial teams. Remain willing to operate hands-on where needed.

What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with meaningful operating experience in a high-growth, multi-entity business.

  • Can communicate effectively in Chinese Mandarin both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated experience consolidating financial statements across multiple global legal entities, including intercompany eliminations, foreign-currency translation, and coordination of local statutory accounting.

  • Demonstrated experience with global transfer pricing, multi-entity tax planning and compliance.

  • Strong accounting fundamentals and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; able to review the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement in detail and identify issues at the source.

  • Experience owning or materially leading monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and management reporting.

  • Experience building financial models and KPI frameworks and using them to influence operating decisions across functions.

  • Strong understanding of cash management, working capital, internal controls, and finance systems and processes.

  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels: able to advise the CEO and Board while also diving into reconciliations, models, systems, and process gaps.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving complex projects to completion.

  • High sense of ownership, urgency, accuracy, and judgment in a fast-moving environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate financial performance clearly to non-finance leaders.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a successful venture-backed technology, hardware, manufacturing, robotics, or industrial company.

  • Experience supporting finance operations across the U.S. and other international markets.

  • CPA, Big Four/public accounting experience, or equivalent controllership experience is a plus.
