About the Role
Cloudflare is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Growth Programs to build and scale a comprehensive ecosystem that drives top-of-funnel growth and adoption for our Developer Platform with the goal of ensuring Cloudflare is the default starting point for every student, founder, and innovator. We don't just provide infrastructure; we provide the launchpad for the next generation of great AI companies.This individual will be responsible for identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships across educational institutions, startup accelerators, venture capital firms, and other high-leverage growth partners. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in developing global partnership strategies, excellent relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of the developer ecosystem.
What you will do
  • Partnership Strategy & Execution: Define, develop, and execute a global partnership strategy focused on increasing developer platform usage, user acquisition, and overall brand presence within target communities.
  • Ecosystem Development: Build and maintain deep relationships with key external stakeholders, including:
    • Startup/Venture Capital/Accelerators: Establish partnerships that provide high-potential startups with platform credits, mentorship, and resources, while driving adoption and awareness within top-tier VC and accelerator networks.
    • Educational Institutions: Secure partnerships with universities to integrate the Cloudflare Developer Platform into curriculums and student programs.
    • Growth Partners: Identify global partnerships that expand reach and drive demand generation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Developer Relations teams on partnership execution.
  • Negotiation and Management: Lead all aspects of the partnership lifecycle, from initial prospecting and negotiation of agreements to ongoing relationship management.
  • Program Management: Lead and execute programs from inception to scale.

Who you are
  • 12+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development, preferably within a high-growth SaaS or developer-focused technology company.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling partnerships from the ground up.
  • Deep familiarity with the global startup, venture capital, and developer education ecosystems.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
  • For New York City based hires: Estimated annual salary of $246,000 - $339,000
  • For Bay Area based hires: Estimated annual salary of $258,000 - $354,000

Equity
This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.
