The Director of IT will oversee global IT, DevOps, and InfoSec operations, manage infrastructure and compliance, and lead a diverse team.

Role Overview:
Aeva is looking for a Director of IT who leads from the front. This role owns IT, DevOps, and Information Security operations globally, serving as the functional CISO and senior escalation point for infrastructure, compliance, and platform reliability. You will lead a distributed team across the US, Europe, and Asia, and report directly to the CTO.
What You Will Own
- Global hybrid cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments, with security-first architecture at every layer
- Network engineering including SD-WAN, 10G site buildouts, and zero-trust segmentation across manufacturing, R&D, and office sites
- ISO27001 and TISAX certification ownership, including ISMS program management and EU regulatory compliance
- Incident response planning, breach response operations, and security policy governance
- Enterprise software portfolio: Okta, Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, Jira, and SaaS lifecycle management
- PLM and engineering toolchain integrations, including Siemens Teamcenter and OrCAD CIS
- AI tooling governance, including spend controls and shadow IT visibility across AI platforms
- People leadership across InfoSec, DevOps, and IT support, with direct accountability for hiring, development, and retention
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive IT and infrastructure leadership, with at least 4 years at the director level or as a functional CISO
- Deep hands-on expertise in network architecture, cloud infrastructure, and security engineering
- Proven track record leading distributed, multicultural teams across time zones
- Direct ISO 27001 or TISAX certification ownership, including audit leadership
- Strong communication skills, able to translate technical risk for executive and board audiences
- CISSP or CISM a plus
- Experience in hardware manufacturing or automotive industry is a plus.
