Are you ready to lead Spectrum's Inside Plant Operations staff and facilities, while driving seamless product delivery and support? As the Director, ISP you will oversee disciplined operational practices, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration, contributing directly to our mission to keep millions connected.
In this role, you will lead and manage the Inside Plant Operations staff and facilities in LA North Market Area, driving structured and disciplined practices for stable product delivery and alignment with company goals. Support internal and external operational teams with project planning and CAPEX/OPEX spending, ensuring seamless cross-functional communication and collaboration for product deployment and support.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop and lead an effective Inside Plant Leadership team to drive a high-performance culture and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Oversee inside plant operations, including facilities, electronics, powering, cooling, cabling, and FCC compliance.
  • Provide hands-on support for Technology Operations teams at colocation and Hub locations.
  • Offer engineering operational support for new and existing technologies and initiatives.
  • Evaluate and consult with leaders on technical operations, strategic planning, and network operations.

Working Environment
  • 50% office and 50% critical facility environment
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels
  • Travel required

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

Experience
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 8+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of project management

License
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License with a safe driving record

Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Spectrum's products and services
  • Extensive knowledge of HFC
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure, and supervise and motivate others
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications
  • Extensive knowledge of all FCC compliance reports and other rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations, OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state, and HVAC and power distribution systems
  • Knowledge of Analog Transmission Line Theory, Electronic theory, Federal Communications Commission regulations, Fiber Optic theory, National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of critical facility construction/maintenance

The base pay for this position generally is between
$135,300.00 and $288,100.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
