Antenna is the leading provider of data and analytics for subscription media services in the U.S. Antenna's standardized metrics, competitive benchmarks, syndicated insights, and market intelligence are trusted by some of the most recognized and respected brands across media and entertainment sectors. Using a proprietary AI-powered approach, Antenna connects subscription activities with real consumer viewership to provide services, studios, and creators with an unmatched, market-wide view of subscriber behaviors to better understand acquisition, retention, and engagement.

We are looking for a Director, Insights & Analytics to raise the bar on the insights Antenna puts in front of the market, and to build the team that produces them. This is a role for someone with strong editorial instincts about what makes an insight worth publishing, and the discipline to turn that judgment into a repeatable, well-run function as we scale.

You will shape what our recurring insights should be, who each one serves, and what they need to become, then work with the teams who own and build them to make it real. Alongside that, you will run our custom data delivery: deciding what we publish, how good it has to be, and how we get it out the door faster. You will hire, develop, and manage a growing multi-disciplinary remote team, and you will be a visible voice representing Antenna's data to customers, prospects, and the wider industry.

You will report to our Chief Executive Officer. Antenna is a remote-first company. In addition, candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Antenna is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa for this position now or in the future.

What You'll Do
  • Set the editorial standard for Antenna's insights. You will decide what makes something worth publishing, push the quality of the analysis and the storytelling, and hold the line on it as volume grows
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of analysts. You will hire, develop, and retain high potential talent
  • Bring a product mindset to how insights get made. You will act as the key stakeholder for internal tool development, specifying the tools, interfaces, and data access your team needs and partnering closely on what gets built
  • Run the operation with real rigor. You will own the intake, prioritization, and resource management system that fulfills requests from customers, sales, and marketing, and you will keep it organized, transparent, and fast
  • Define and track the KPIs that tell you whether the function is working, and use them to tighten workflows and reallocate effort
  • In collaboration with Client Services partners, drive positive customer engagement. You will present findings, field hard questions, and build credibility with senior stakeholders on the client side
  • Partner with co-founders and leadership to identify where custom analytics can open up new opportunities across Antenna's data products
  • Stay hands-on. You will know when to step into the queue, into a deliverable, or into a thorny analysis to get the team where it needs to be
Who You Are
  • 10+ years in data analytics, insights, or research, including 4+ years leading and growing teams. You have a track record of hiring well, developing people, and retaining them
  • You have excellent editorial judgment. You can look at a set of findings and know which one is the story, what is merely true, and what should not go out at all
  • You are client-facing. You have presented to senior external audiences, handled skepticism in the room, and come out with the relationship stronger
  • You are technical enough to lead credibly. You understand data structures and their tradeoffs, you know how to make SQL-based output more efficient and reusable, and you have a clear view of what is and is not possible with current AI tooling
  • You are organized. You bring structure to ambiguous work, and the systems you build outlast you
  • You operate with urgency. You have a strong sense for when good enough now beats perfect later, and you move the team accordingly
  • You have leadership presence. Peers, executives, and customers take your point of view seriously, and you are comfortable holding a position under pressure
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven record of distilling complex data for both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite and clients
  • Proven track record of cross-functional partnership across levels and functions to deliver business impact
  • Deep interest or experience in media and entertainment, and you thrive in fast-paced, feedback-driven environments
Compensation

Total annual earnings range from $175,000 - $200,000. In addition, our incoming Director, Insights & Analytics is eligible for company equity. The final compensation will be determined after evaluating a candidate’s experience, skills, etc.
