The fastest-growing sports gaming company – ever.

We build innovative games, products, and experiences for American sports fans.

We’re here to shake up the fastest growing industry with bold ideas, custom-built tech, and the drive to win.

Founded in 2020, our team has built four of today’s most widely played fantasy games and launched the Underdog Sportsbook – built entirely in-house with our own technology. That means we control our product, move fast, and create experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

In just over two years, we’ve reached over a $1.2 billion valuation, with investors like BlackRock, Spark Capital, SV Angel, Mark Cuban, Kevin Durant, and Adam Schefter. And we’re just getting started.

At Underdog, we believe that sports are for everyone. Join us.

About the role and why it’s unique:
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Strategy and Product teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans that support product launches, updates, and campaigns.
  • Conduct in-depth value proposition analysis and work with internal and external stakeholders to refine and communicate the brand’s differentiators in the sports gaming space.
  • Own the content calendar, balancing feature GTM with external beats and internal promotions.
  • Lead the development of messaging and positioning strategies for new products, ensuring alignment across all communication channels, including social media, paid channels, and in-app experiences.
  • Continuously test, optimize, and adapt messaging to improve customer engagement and product adoption. Utilize A/B testing, customer surveys, and data analytics to optimize product positioning, messaging, and overall marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce marketing assets that highlight the excitement, value, and innovation behind Underdog.
  • Become an expert in understanding the behavior, preferences, and pain points of our diverse user base.
  • Engage with customers and the gaming community to gather feedback and insights, translating these into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts to uncover insights into customer motivations, competitor activity, and emerging trends in sports gaming.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, ensuring KPIs are met and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Leverage data insights to enhance product messaging, customer experience, and campaign effectiveness, ensuring that Underdog remains competitive in the marketplace.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking to drive measurable impact across the business.
Who you are:
  • 10+ years of integrated or product marketing experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns in competitive markets, especially within sports or gaming sectors.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, with the ability to apply insights into actionable marketing strategies that engage fans and players.
  • Expertise in brand positioning, digital marketing, and content strategy, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and persuasively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-oriented and data-driven, with a passion for continuous optimization and performance measurement.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment in a dynamic, growing organization.
