We are looking for a strategic, growth-oriented leader to serve as DigitalOcean’s primary point person for the global investment community. Reporting to the SVP of Corporate Development and Investor Relations, the Director of Investor Relations will act as the architect of our financial narrative, bridging the gap between our internal product evolution and the external investment landscape.

What You’ll Do:
  • Strategic Narrative: Architecting a comprehensive investor relations roadmap that identifies key potential shareholders and articulates a message aligned with DigitalOcean’s mission to simplify the cloud and AI-Native workloads.
  • Relationship Stewardship: Building and nurturing deep-rooted trust within the investor community, including both sell side analysts and buy side investors, proactively educating stakeholders on our operations and long-term scaling objectives.
  • Financial Storytelling: Crafting high-impact presentations, press releases, and scripts for earnings calls that translate complex financial data into a compelling vision for growth.
  • KPI Management: Partnering with FP&A and operating units to track and report key metrics, ensuring our guidance models and performance tracking remain robust and transparent.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborating with Product, Marketing, finance and Legal teams to ensure a unified external voice that accurately represents our product roadmap.
  • Market Intelligence: Maintaining rigorous competitive analysis and peer benchmarking to help DigitalOcean anticipate market trends and optimize our long-term investor mix.
What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:
  • Required:
    • Financial & Analytical Mastery: A strong background in financial analysis or accounting with a demonstrated ability to build guidance models and track complex performance metrics.
    • Strategic Communication: A proven track record of building relationships in the investor community and the ability to counsel senior executives on external presentations and releases.
    • Operational Excellence: A detail-oriented and highly organized approach, with the ability to consistently meet deadlines within the fixed timeframes of the financial reporting cycle.
    • Investor Relations Experience: Prior investor relations experience at a publicly traded software or cloud infrastructure company is required.
  • Preferred:
    • Growth Mindset & Soft Skills: A proactive, persuasive communicator with an entrepreneurial spirit and a "team-first" mentality who thrives in fast-paced, high-aspiration environments.
    • Software / Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Previous experience with consumption and subscription-based revenue models, key cloud infrastructure metrics (ARR, net dollar retention, GPU/AI workload economics), and the competitive dynamics of the developer and SMB cloud market is essential to hit the ground running.
Compensation Range: 
  • $178,000 - $223,000

You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance.
