Growth segments Markets team is looking for a Director-Market Implementation, to drive Growth segment incubation deployments in Ethiopia. Reporting to the Global Head of Markets, Growth Segment, The ideal candidate should be passionate about serving Agriculture and MSMEs segments in rural communities, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset.
THE ROLE:
The essential responsibilities of the position entails the following:
Drive in country Business Development and Customer Account Management to ensure continued incubation of Growth Segments businesses in Ethiopia.
Closely collaborate with our customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to successfully deploy our Growth Segment incubations, drive adoption and usage, and continually refine and evolve how we deliver solutions in the Ethiopian market.
Own customer capacity building initiatives and solution knowledge transfer in collaboration with Product Managers from Mastercard, customer and partners. The training will include among others product trainings, technology adoption and change management.
Prioritize driving solution adoption and usage by our customers and partners through leading complex technology implementation initiatives, incentive programs, training and support.
Own and advance project management of all Community Pass solution deployments in market and report regularly into global team.
Prepare and present on a regular basis, incubation business deployment reports to Mastercard senior executives, highlighting key updates, strategic milestones, risks and mitigation measures.
Provide market insights and Voice of Customer feedback back into the Product team to ensure that strategy and new product development are aligned with local objectives.

The ideal candidate for this position should have:
Extensive experience in launching digital products in Agriculture and MSMEs in rural based population and communities in Africa/Ethiopia.
Extensive track record in building customer relationships in Ethiopia sectors of Agriculture, MSME and Finance.
Extensive track record in designing and conducting Capacity building programs for adults and the illiterate population in Ethiopia.
Demonstrated success in complex project management initiatives working with a cross section of stakeholders namely Govt, NGOs, Private sectors and start ups
Demonstrated success in making Executive level project reports and presentations including excellent skills on PowerPoint, word and excel based presentations
