About Mytra:

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

About the role:

As Director of Marketing at Mytra, you will own and build our marketing function during a period of significant commercial growth. Today, marketing runs lean and distributed across the business. You will architect it into a real function, defining the strategy, owning the budget, and setting how marketing drives commercial pipeline and attracts world-class talent.

This is a player-coach role. You will start hands-on as the builder and primary executor across brand, content, communications, and a particular early focus on standing up demand generation. As the function matures, you will hire, develop, and lead the team behind it.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this is a high-impact role at the intersection of commercial strategy, demand generation, brand, and executive communications. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Operations, People, and Engineering to translate complex robotics and software capabilities into compelling narratives and pipeline for enterprise customers and current & prospective talent alike.

What you'll do:
  • Own Mytra's marketing function end to end. Set the strategy, own the budget, and define how marketing supports commercial growth and talent attraction. Build it hands-on today and scale it into a high-performing team over time, including org design and hiring as the function grows
  • Define and steward Mytra's brand voice, visual identity, and messaging system across all external channels. Shape company and product positioning through a strategic narrative that differentiates Mytra and translates complex robotics and software capabilities into clear value for both technical and non-technical audiences, including vertical-specific positioning and campaign strategies tailored to the distinct buying dynamics of each industry vertical in our ICP
  • Build and run the content and editorial engine spanning thought leadership, technical content, customer stories, and product announcements. Own media relations, social presence, and executive visibility initiatives that position Mytra as the authoritative voice in industrial automation and Physical AI
  • Stand up and ramp Mytra's demand generation engine from the ground up. Build the pipeline marketing motion that drives and accelerates enterprise pipeline in close partnership with Sales, spanning campaigns, channel strategy, account-based targeting, lead lifecycle, and measurement
  • Build and own a metrics-driven funnel, from leading indicators (engagement, discovery calls, pipeline creation) to output metrics (conversion, velocity, source performance), so we can see how our GTM is performing and make both tactical and strategic adjustments as we go
  • Partner with Sales and Product to develop sales enablement materials, customer stories, and launch assets that support active commercial deals and accelerate pipeline progression. Extend that partnership across the full customer journey - from new-logo acquisition through expansion and upsell - to help shorten time-to-expansion and grow existing accounts into larger books of business
  • Own Mytra's employer brand and talent marketing, developing the narrative and assets that attract world-class engineers, operators, and builders
  • Manage external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners. Know when to build in-house and when to bring in a specialist to amplify quality and execution speed
Ideal Candidates:
  • Are energized by the opportunity to build a once-in-a-generation hardware brand and understand what it takes to make a deep tech company legible, exciting, and trustworthy to the world
  • Have 10+ years of experience across brand, content, or integrated marketing, with direct experience building or scaling a demand generation and pipeline marketing motion, ideally in enterprise-B2B, deep tech, software, or industrial hardware
  • Are metrics-driven, with a track record of instrumenting a marketing/demand-gen funnel - leading and lagging indicators alike - to diagnose performance and adjust in real time
  • Have experience marketing across the full customer lifecycle, including post-sale expansion and upsell, and understand how marketing can help shorten the time it takes a customer to expand
  • Are comfortable as a player-coach, building the function hands-on as an IC today and hiring, developing, and leading a team as it scales
  • Can operate as both a strategist and an executor, comfortable defining the vision and rolling up their sleeves to make it happen in a lean, fast-moving environment
  • Have built or rebuilt a marketing function or brand from the ground up, including messaging frameworks, brand voice guidelines, content systems, and demand generation programs
  • Demonstrate strong editorial judgment and writing ability, translating complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Have owned a marketing budget and managed external agencies, freelancers, or consultants to get maximum leverage from vendor relationships
  • Bring sharp cross-functional instincts, partnering with Sales, Product, People, and executive leadership to extract insight and create work that moves the business forward
Nice to have:
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM tooling (e.g., HubSpot) to build and measure demand generation programs
  • Direct media relations experience, including managing PR agency relationships or cultivating journalist connections
  • Experience in robotics, automation, supply chain, or adjacent deep tech industries
  • Background in employer brand or talent marketing
  • Familiarity with the enterprise B2B sales cycle and how marketing supports deal progression
A Final Note:

If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box. At Mytra, we build bots, but we hire humans. We value thoughtful challengers who communicate with clarity and respect, and we’re lifelong learners committed to getting better every day. We move fast, learn faster, and show up for each other under pressure. The best outcomes come from diverse perspectives working together to build something meaningful and built to last.

Benefits Include:
  • Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high-growth company backed by top-tier VCs
  • Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical (baseline plans), dental, and vision for employees and dependents
  • 401(k) plans and employer-subsidized life insurance
  • Fully subsidized lunch and snacks at HQ—we eat and share stories together at the “long” table
  • Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including one week over the winter break so everyone can recharge together
  • Voluntary pet insurance, Voluntary Life Insurance, Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
  • Fully subsidized tax advisory services and education to help you understand your equity
  • Commuter benefits, including a up to $150 monthly commuter benefit
  • Lively, modern combined office and lab space where we rapidly iterate through design, build, and test phases
  • Fully equipped onsite gym and showers at headquarters

Compensation for this position will be set based on the candidate's experience level and location. The posted salary band is applicable only to the San Francisco Bay Area and is subject to change.

This role requires on-site presence at our Brisbane, CA headquarters, for close collaboration with the other teams.
