Role Overview
Mastercard's Global Acceptance + Merchant Solutions team is on a mission to make Mastercard the best way to pay everywhere. With our powerful suite of acceptance products, like Merchant Cloud we are working on shaping the payment experiences of the future.
In partnership with regional teams and cross-functional partners around the globe, Global Acceptance + Merchant Solutions works to expand merchant acceptance and help merchants and acquirers grow their businesses through Acceptance solutions and programs. At its essence, building acceptance is about driving the secular shift from cash to electronic payments, with the promise of giving consumers the best payment experience - one that's fast, convenient and secure.
As the payments ecosystem continues to evolve and new players reshape the market, we are seeking a Director to accelerate revenue growth through the execution of the go-to-market strategy for Mastercard Merchant Cloud. Merchant Cloud is our next-generation acceptance platform that unifies services, enables seamless omnichannel experiences, and helps partners deepen merchant relationships. This role will work closely with a strategic partner in North America to drive joint growth, leading sales enablement, commercialization, and market activation efforts that expand the reach and adoption of our collective value proposition.
This is a high-impact, role that requires cross-functional collaboration, a full-cycle sales approach, complemented by product management responsibilities to accelerate adoption of Mastercard's Merchant Cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities: • Account Leadership: Manage and grow a key relationship with our strategic acquiring partner in North America.• Strategic Growth: Drive revenue through selling the bundled value proposition though Merchant Cloud with a focus on value-added services growth• Execution Excellence: Collaborate with country & regional teams, and client-facing teams to identify opportunities, submit business cases, and develop sales materials • Bundle Value Proposition scaling : Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, leveraging data-driven insights to prioritize high-impact opportunities.• Global Product Commercialization Operations: Define, operationalize, and maintain standards and systems to enable go-to-market and scale for emerging and new products and service• Sales Enablement: Create, and execute education and training to support awareness of Mastercard Merchant Cloud strategy, capabilities, and expand fluency across the enterprise to drive growth • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with stakeholders across Global Acceptance + Merchant Solutions, Marketing, Sales and Services to ensure seamless execution and support.
All About You• In-depth understanding and prior experience in the payments industry and strong understanding of relevant market trends.• Strong knowledge and experience in Acquiring and Gateway ecosystem• Prior experience in driving the adoption of solutions for digital commerce solutions• A results-oriented leader able to drive results and with proven experience in developing go-to-market strategies of new and innovative products and end-to-end product strategy and delivery of scalable solutions.• Entrepreneurial and commercial mindset able to adjust to changing demands of market, customers, internal strategies and build partnerships across the organization.• Excellent communications and influencing skillset to articulate the value of change and new strategies to the overall business goals. • Ability to lead cross-function and multi-location teams.• Organizational savviness to navigate a highly matrixed organization and resilience to thrive in high pressure goal-oriented environment. • Bachelor's degree. MBA preferred.• English is mandatory.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
