Job Location:  Remote US/USA

SUMMARY: 

As a Director, Network Operations, you will be responsible for the leadership, development and management of the VSN MNS Operations. Direct management of the design/engineering, project management, NOC services and installation departments. Collaborate with sales, product development, finance, billing and accounts payable and human resources to grow the business, partner to make strategic decision that effect the entire VSN business. Primary responsibility focuses on process development, process implementation, KPI development and management, product training, employee development training, business unit P&L and delivering strategic plans. 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Financial Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for maintaining budgeted profit margins of MNS business.
    • Lead pricing and cost reduction initiatives to achieve budgeted expectations. 
    • Attend monthly Financial Reviews with Vector senior leadership.
  • Operational / Process Issues:
    • Evaluate, adjust, and assist in the development of operational infrastructure for the Installation, Engineering, Billing, AP, Procurement, NOC Services and Technical Services. 
    • Collaborate with corporate personnel to achieve problem resolution and efficiencies. 
    • Communicate corporate office initiatives to department managers. 
    • Involved in planning and implementation of the VSN remote office expansion program. 
  • Employee Responsibilities:
    • Performance management and development of employees which include performance reviews. Recruiting and hiring the best talent for the organization. 
    • Build and/or maintain team atmosphere for current employees. 
    • Promote and enforce Vector values and culture as well as promoting the company’s policies and procedures. 
  • Accounting Responsibilities: 
    • Collaborate with accounting management. 
    • Assist with streamlining existing accounting processes for better efficiency. 
  • Customer Responsibilities:
    • Attend sales appointments as necessary.
    • Assist sales team in evaluating potential new business for existing clients and new prospects. 
    • Work with new and existing customer base to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Attend any work industry trade shows. 

What You’ll Need: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent - Required 
    • Bachelor's Degree in Executive Management, Business Management, Communications, and/or related field - Preferred
  • 12 or More Years Management Experience with an industry financial background and the desire for continued professional development -Required.
  • Computer Literacy - Must be highly proficient; MS Word, PowerPoint, Power BI and Excel – Complex spreadsheets are utilized for a variety of tracking and management. 
  • Organization Skills - Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects. Must be able to meet Customer (Internal and External) deadlines

    • Consistent and reliable delivery of product is critical to the VSN ability to meet Customer needs. 

  • Capacity to create effective team-oriented work atmosphere.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written) at the highest levels to internal and external Customers and Senior Management. 
  • Must be able to maintain company and personnel confidential information, must possess a high level of integrity. 
  • Must be able to make sound and accurate decisions that will affect our company/department financial success.
    • Must be able to make personnel decisions regarding Hiring, Termination, Promotion, Counseling, Mentoring, and administer disciplinary actions as may be required.
