 Summary:

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Millennium Tower, ensuring seamless delivery of luxury services to residents. This role requires a strong background in luxury hotel or hotel residences, with a particular focus on rooms division operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

This is a unique opportunity for a Director of Rooms, Director of Residences, Director of Front Office, Hotel Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Operations Executive who is ready to bring Forbes-level service standards into an exclusive luxury residential environment.

Ideal candidate MUST HAVE: Forbes 4-5 star hospitality background/experience with strong background from luxury hotel or hotel residences experience from a Forbes 4-Star or 5-Star hotel/resort maintaining Forbes standards, and service level delivery.

Compensation: $130k-140k/year, plus fully paid 100% health benefits, 401k match

 Schedule: 

This is a full-time onsite leadership role located at Millennium Tower in San Francisco.

Monday – Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Because luxury service never stops, flexibility is required to support business needs, resident events, emergencies, and operational priorities, including participation in an alternating weekend leadership coverage rotation.

Position and Work Environment:

      Required Skills / Abilities:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury hotel or hotel residence operations, with a focus on Rooms Division.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
    • Education / Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration or related field.
    • Physical Requirements:

      • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
      • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of the property's operations, including front desk, concierge, housekeeping, and engineering.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure a consistently high level of guest satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage operational budgets.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships and contracts to optimize costs and service quality.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee renovation and improvement projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of  experience within: luxury hotel or hotel residence operations, with a focus on Rooms Division. (Forbes experience)
  • Forbes service training and experience maintaining Forbes standards.
  • Strong Rooms Division, Front Office, Resident Services, or Hotel Operations leadership experience.
  • Experience maintaining Forbes service standards and luxury guest experience programs.
  • Strong leadership and management skills. Proven success leading large teams in high-touch luxury service environments. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Buildinglink, ADP, MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. (Required)
  • M100 and CMCA certificates are desired

  • Trusted Advisor: Professional presence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to collaborate effectively with boards and stakeholders.
  • Designation. Minimum of a CMCA. PCAM preferred.
