About the Role
As the Director of Partnerships & Network Management, Expansion (Americas), you will play a pivotal role in building a future-ready network comprising key partner banks and financial intermediaries. You will develop and execute strategic initiatives across network expansion, product launches, and network resiliency projects. This role reports to the Global Partnerships & Network Head.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and evaluate potential partnerships with payment processors, financial institutions, merchants, and other stakeholders to expand our network reach across the Americas
- Develop and execute comprehensive payment network strategies for the Americas region, aligned with company objectives and growth targets
- Lead negotiations and partnership discussions, including contract terms, pricing agreements, and SLAs, to establish mutually beneficial relationships
- Develop and implement market entry strategies for new markets, conducting research, assessing regulatory requirements, and overseeing payment service launches
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Engineering to ensure seamless execution of network initiatives
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, regulatory authorities, and industry associations
- Drive project management across key initiatives, representing the payment network team across multiple internal teams
Requirements
- Proven track record in developing and executing payment network strategies within financial services or payments
- Deep experience identifying, building, and managing partnerships with payment processors, financial institutions, and merchants
- Strong C-suite relationship management and networking skills to scout and deepen partner engagements
- Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics across the US, Canada, Central America, and Latin America
- Strong analytical skills with ability to leverage data insights for strategic decision-making
- Ability to anticipate evolving regulatory landscapes, partner risk appetite, and market disruptions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously
