At Goodwin, we work with some of the world’s most successful and innovative investors, entrepreneurs and disruptors in the life sciences, private equity, real estate, technology and financial industries, and where they converge. Here, we’re not just supporting a law firm; we’re partnering with attorneys and clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions in high-stakes litigation and dispute resolution, world-class regulatory compliance and advisory services, and complex transactions. Our commitment to integrity, ingenuity, agility, and ambition drives us, and we’re proud to have been recognised as the “Best Business Team” by The American Lawyer.
This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.

Goodwin is seeking a Director of Product – AI & Platforms to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of high-impact products across the firm’s technology and AI platforms. This role will accelerate how attorneys and business professionals deliver value to clients by embedding intuitive, secure, and scalable products directly into core legal and operational workflows.

The Director of Product will own the product vision and roadmap, leading cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impact across contract analysis, M&A due diligence, litigation support, knowledge discovery, pricing intelligence, and internal operations. Partnering closely with Attorneys, Knowledge & Innovation (K&I), and Information Technology (IT), this role will ensure all products meet Goodwin’s standards for client confidentiality, security, compliance, and responsible use of AI and data.

What You Will Do:

  • Define and ship differentiated product capabilities for a prioritized set of customer and business use cases, with clearly documented success metrics (customer impact, adoption, revenue, efficiency, and risk reduction).

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap across platforms, applications, and AI-enabled capabilities, aligning firm-wide priorities and measurable outcomes.

  • Establish scalable product operating models, including discovery, prioritization, roadmap governance, and delivery cadences across multiple product teams.

  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture to ensure products are built on secure, resilient, and extensible platforms with clear technical and data foundations.

  • Operationalize product lifecycle management including launch readiness, telemetry, adoption tracking, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.

  • Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers across core platforms, workflows, and emerging AI capabilities.

  • Partner with Knowledge Management, Data, and Engineering teams to translate domain workflows into product requirements, roadmaps, and prioritization frameworks.

  • Work closely with Legal, Privacy, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure products meet confidentiality, regulatory, and risk management standards.

  • Lead the full product lifecycle including problem framing, user research, requirements definition, delivery, launch, measurement, and iteration.

  • Drive alignment across stakeholders including partners, business leaders, engineering leaders, and go-to-market teams.

  • Establish and own product success metrics tied to customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and business performance.

  • Lead change management and adoption efforts including training plans, playbooks, communications, and executive reporting.

  • Publish and maintain product standards, decision frameworks, roadmap artifacts, and internal product guidance.

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, including 4+ years leading and scaling product teams.

  • Proven experience shipping complex, enterprise-grade products in platform, SaaS, or regulated environments.

  • Strong technical fluency with modern software platforms, data-driven products, and AI-enabled workflows (not required to code).

  • Demonstrated experience operating in environments with high-sensitivity data, security, and compliance requirements.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives, partners, and cross-functional leaders.

  • Proven track record of translating ambiguity into shipped, measurable product outcomes.
