ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Director of Product Design at Fox One, you will serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Product Design in shaping and architecting the next-generation experience, identifying a path from today’s product to a defined North Star. This leader will help develop forward-looking, “blue sky” concepts while ensuring near-term roadmap execution contributes meaningfully to a long-term, scalable experience vision.
You will mentor and inspire a talented team of product designers while remaining hands-on when needed—raising the bar on craft, storytelling, and executive communication across the organization. This role operates at the intersection of vision and execution, translating early-stage ideas into actionable design direction and driving clarity across complex, ambiguous initiatives.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Propose bold, “blue sky” experience concepts during early project phases—and successfully deliver on those ideas.
Mentor and grow a team of product designers while staying close to the work and elevating craft standards.
Influence and advocate for thoughtful design decisions in partnership with Product, Engineering, Data, and Executive stakeholders.
Lead by example in critique, storytelling, and executive communication across the design organization.
Partner closely with the VP, Product Design to shape new experience concepts and define the North Star vision.
Translate early-stage, ambiguous ideas into clear, actionable design strategy and direction.
Drive alignment across cross-functional partners around cohesive, consumer-first experience strategies.
Ensure short-term roadmap initiatives ladder into a long-term, scalable user experience vision.
Identify growth opportunities and experience innovation across the broader FOX ecosystem.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years leading and developing high-performing design teams.
A strong, well-organized portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing complex consumer products and DTC platforms at scale. Applications without a portfolio clearly demonstrating these skills will not be considered.
Proven ability to conceptualize and deliver creative ideas during early-stage product development.
Experience shipping 0–1 products with significant autonomy; OTT design experience is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to identify, test, and implement innovative tools and workflows that enable faster, more streamlined execution.
Comfort navigating deep technical discussions and constraints with engineering partners.
Fluency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Framer).
A track record of shipping impactful, user-centered products that achieve measurable business outcomes.
Collaboration is key at Fox One—wherever you are in the world. Our hybrid model gives you flexibility to work from home or the office while staying closely connected with your team. For this role, you will be within the USA region and available to work out of the Los Angeles or New York office.
Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidates must be able to reliably meet this requirement.
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
Experience designing subscription-based streaming or media products.
Background working within large media organizations or scaling startup environments.
Experience designing across multiple platforms (CTV, mobile, web) within a unified ecosystem.
Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, personalization systems, and growth-oriented product strategies.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $160,000.00-215,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
