Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Director, Product Experience & Design to lead the experience strategy, design systems, and user experience organization for our next-generation Enterprise Data & AI Platform ecosystem.
This leader will define how developers, analysts, data scientists, product teams, and AI practitioners interact with a modern hybrid data platform spanning: • cloud-native Lakehouse architecture• data mesh and data products• AI/ML tooling• governance and lineage• analytics and observability• developer workflows and APIs
This role will also own the enterprise design language and experience standards for agentic (AI-driven) products across Mastercard, ensuring consistency in how AI systems behave, interact, and scale across platforms. This role reports directly to the SVP, Product - Data & AI Platforms and partners closely with Engineering, Architecture, AI/ML, Governance, Security, and Business Product teams globally.

Product Experience Strategy• Define and lead the end-to-end product experience vision for the Enterprise Data & AI Platform ecosystem• Establish a cohesive UX strategy across:
o Developer platforms
o Data products and marketplaces
o Analytics and observability experiences
o AI / agentic interfaces
o Governance and trust frameworks• Define how users and AI agents interact, recognizing shifting behaviors as enterprise users increasingly leverage AI• Drive consistency across on-prem, private cloud, and public cloud environments
Enterprise Design Systems & Agentic Standards• Build and scale a unified enterprise design system for data, AI, and platform products• Define Mastercard-wide standards for:
o Design language and experience principles
o Interaction patterns and accessibility
o Visual systems and data visualization
o Observability UX and developer workflows
o AI-assisted and agent-driven workflows• Establish common experience themes across all agentic builds, including:
o Agent behavior models
o User/agent interaction patterns
o Trust, explainability, and control mechanisms• Partner with engineering to operationalize reusable, scalable experience components across core platform pillars
Data Product & Marketplace Experience• Lead UX strategy for data discovery, cataloging, lineage, and marketplace capabilities• Improve discoverability, trust, and usability of data products through intuitive, metadata-driven experiences• Drive a consumer-grade experience for enterprise data users
Required Qualifications• Customer Obsession: Deep empathy for developers, analysts, data scientists, and enterprise platform users• Proven experience scaling UX organizations in enterprise SaaS, platform, or cloud-native environments• Strong understanding of:
